Maybe just me, but i like the original muddy pickups. Sounds more muddy waters to me. Like the black hardware though.

The original looks good and the sound is warmer on original too

I just sold one for a friend and the new owner is very happy with the sound and electronics of the guitar. The gold bits is synonymous with BB King's original Lucille.

You could have just switched the variance phase knob on the original to get that more treble sound

I prefer the original sound and bling. I own a 2008 and am very pleased with the sound quality and feel. 🥰👍😎🎸

With what did he replace the pickups? Are they the same pickups, but cleaner pots? And nothing on replacing the nut with a bone nut?

I like the org. Better than the mod. Warm sound

The guitar does not sound bluesy with the changes you have made. The original pickups could be lowered a couple hundreds of a mm. Definitely would have kept the original tailpiece. The brodge pickup is brighter. I could get the same( but I won't) by raising it a 1/2 to 3/4 of a tirn of the screwdriver.

Ce sont mes oreilles qui me trahissent ou il y a un problème d'accordage entre le fond musical et celui de la guitare ?

I can defintly hear the improvement with the mods. I think it looks cool too. Not Lucille anymore but she's your's. Interested to know the approximate cost.

Not everyone can afford a Gibson. Plus it doesn't matter what you play on. If you are good then you can make a 30 dollar stella sound good.

Yeah, people like to delude themselves into thinking they can make the cheaper version better than the original… the honest truth is you can approach the original at best…. I’ve had a friend try to pass off his chibson Lucille as better then a real Lucille, he was sadly wrong as my somewhat worn and aged 93’ Lucille just smoked his….

Great job. I would have kept the gold personally.

Loin d'être meilleur que la Gibson, je dirai différent.... mais dénaturée... je ne vois pas l'intérêt de mettre des spec modernes sur ce type de corps, qui a mon avis n'est pas adapté.

Did much the same with my Epi Lucille, except kept the bling for now. Homewrecker PUs, 50s nos wiring, hand-wired 5-way, push pull pots, NOS Russian caps...delightfully versatile result.
