wow, The effects and the apes themselves have changed so much. I never read the original novel, but I can't forget Charleton Heston and the statue! It doesn't surprise me the Serling wrote the end, he had a great style. Cheers, Rik Spector

@rikspector I remember going to see the 2001 version, and I thought at the time, the ape costumes had come so far, from the 1960s and I didn't think they could get any better. WOW, I was wrong. The apes are all CGI now, but even with the CGI standard, they look the best I've ever seen them with this upcoming apes movie. Thank you again my friend for your comment, and as always your comments are always appreciated. Have a great day. Mike

@cayoooga I did change the name of the channel. I liked the original name, The Cosmic Corps Chronicles. But I also wanted to make it easier for subscribers of the original channel to find this channel, and align it better with the original channel. I put a video on the other channel for Star Trek (TOS) The Doomsday machine and at the end of that video I mentioned the name change to this channel. And since the logos for both are identical, except for color, making the name similar seemed like the logical move. Also, I'm looking forward to this movie as well, it looks awesome. Have a great day, and as always, thank you for your comment. Mike

@J_321Ignition There was a chance in Season 10 to carry the original show forward with the introduction of the younger Mulder and Scully look a likes. I included a picture of those two in the video. I would have preferred they kept the original show going with those characters in place of doing a reboot. I mean if Law and Order can be on the air for thousands of years while constantly changing characters, its not that unreasonable to assume the X-Files could do the same thing. Thank you for your comment, it is greatly appreciated and stay tuned, there is more Sci-Fi on the way. Have a great day. Mike

@mikelaffoon5986 Thank you for your comment. When I was putting this video together, since it is upcoming I have to honest I think I would rather go back and watch the original series and The Next Generation again. If you have ever seen Star Trek DS9, Section 31 was introduced as just a super secret Black Op style organization that nobody seemed to know about. Star Trek Discovery took Section 31 and it seems like everyone knows about it now. In my opinion Disovery took the teeth out of Section 31. And I think this movie is going to be an extension of that idea. I hope not. Be we shall see. Thank you again for your comment, it is greatly appreciated. And stay tuned, there is more SCi-Fi to come. Have a grreat day. Mike

Thank you for your comment. I couldn’t agree with you more. I just replied this morning to someone else that had seen our video this morning about the same thing. And that’s a big issue for me. Because when they were introduced in DS9 they had all this mystery and black ops shadowy background and nobody had ever heard of them. But in Sat Trek Discovery, it was like section 31 was on display for all to see. I did not care for that at all, and since the Section 31 movie is basically born out of Discovery, I’m not expecting to much. I hope they do section 31 justice for that movie and get it back to its core, I’ll still watch it, but I think it’s going to be the type of section 31 we get in discovery. Let’s hope not. Anyway, thank you again for your comment, it is greatly appreciated, and have a great day. Mike

Not looking forward to this. Once upon a time, being the IP holder conferred absolute control over a property. That day is dead. If the IP holder refuses to bring out new content or insists on only bringing out degraded content, then we can make our own. I invite all my fellow Trekkers to enjoy a completely free novel. Just google Star Trek Lost Destiny Race.

@aptreadwell Thank you for your comment. I think you might be onto something. When I was putting this video together all I could think about was Section 31 in Star Trek Discovery, was nothing like what we got introduced to in DS9. And I think the "New" concept of Section 31 might be what we get in the Section 31 movie. I hope not. I really hope I am wrong. And, I'll still check it out. But I really hope the producers decide to get Section 31 back to its roots. Thank you again for your comment, it is greatly appreciated. And Stay Tuned, there is more Sci-Fi to come. I will reserve judgement because too many iconic movies and characters have been totally dissed and destroyed to make "political" statements. I want great acting and plots without certain philosophies being shoved down my throat. WE shall see:) Cheers, Rik Spector

@rikspector Rik, as always thank you for your comment. When Section 31 was introduced as an organization back in Deep Space Nine, I thought to myself what a great concept. And it was an idea that made perfect sense to me. I retired from the military, so an organization based in intelligence gathering and black ops spy type operations, I was all for it. With that said, I completely hated how Section 31 was used in Star Trek Discovery. They are suppose to be this super secret organization that works in the shadows. But in Discovery, they were right up front and in your face. But to your point, I've noticed, especially with discovery, they love to make political statements on that show, and they used Section 31 in that capacity, in my opinion. So, I'll give the Section 31 movie a shot, but I am not expecting much. I really hope I'm wrong, and they bring the ficticious organization back to how it was designed originally. As always, thank you for you comment my friend, they are always appreciated. Have a great day. MIke

Thanks for telling me about this new channel. That Star Trek set is awesome, what a wonderful labor of Love. I visited the area many years ago and in addition to The tours , there is a lot of History including Fort Ticonderoga. The local towns are beautiful and Lake Champlain is a wonderful place, you might even see Champy, \New York's answer to Scotland's Nessie. It's good to see Clint Howard, he went through a lot of difficulties, but is still with us. He is very close with His Brother, Ron. If I wasn't about as far northwest as you can be, I wouldn't hesitate to go where this I have "almost" never gone before:) Cheers, Rik Spector

Rik, Thank you once again for your comment. And thank you for checking out the new channel. Like I mentioned before, this channel is different than our Sci-Fi and More channel, the videos are shorter, a lot less research intensive, and focused on a short "Whats happening Now" news idea. The other channel isn't going to stop. I'm actually working on the next video for the Sci-Fi and More channel right now. So the plan is to keep putting more Sci-Fi content out there. Like I mentioned in this video, I have never been to this museum and I would love to see it, hopefully I get the opportunity in July to go to meet William Shatner, I think that would be awesome. Since you mentioned that you are in the NorthWest, New York might be a bit far to get to, but there is another Star Trek museum, I believe it is in Santa Monica California. But I think that museum is more specific to Star Trek The Next Generation. I could be wrong. I came across it in my research for this video. I've attached the link for you at the bottom if it is something you might be interested in checking out. As always my friend, thank you for your continued support, it is all greatly appreciated. I love Star Trek (The Original Series). I grew up on watching that back in the 1960's. Still my favorite of all things Star Trek. This would be awesome to see, but I live on the west coast and unable to travel like I used to. Love the guy's Batman shirt. Batman is another 1960's show I loved as a kid and still enjoy immensely. I grew up on the original trilogy being 17 years old in 1977 when Star Wars was unleashed on the world. I actually didn't think much of first "Star Wars" movie when it was first released in 1977. It was "The Empire Strikes Back" that I loved and was impressed with and it got me hooked. No other Star Wars movie has surpassed "The Empire Strikes Back" for me, but I still enjoy the Star Wars movies and Disney+ shows.

@cayoooga, Thank you once again for you comment, and welcome back to the channel. Its so funny that you mention the Empire Strikes Back. My best friend and I went to see Empire when it came out, and to this day, that is still his standout favorite. He will still talk about about it. And he's not wrong. And for me, its the original 1977 Star Wars, and back then we just called it Star Wars, it wasn't referred to as A New Hope, like people continuously do now, lol. And like I mentioned in the video, all we had for years as fans was just just the original trilogy. I noticed that there are some real criticisms surrounding Disney's take on Star Wars. My thoughts are, Disney got the ship moving again, so good on them for that. And as far as the Star Wars shows, I like them all with the exception of The Book of Boba Fett. They had a legacy character to work with, and I feel like so much was just left on the table. Besides The Mandalorian, which is AWESOME, the other show that I think is Great is Andor. Its a very different take on Star Wars, dealing with real people, no sith, no jedi, no force at all, just average people trying to make life work as the empire is coming into full force. If you haven't seen it, I would highly recommend that show. Thank you again for your comment, it is greatly appreciated, and stay tuned to both our channels, we have more sci-fi on the way. Have a great day. Mike

@@scifiandmore-funnews I too, remember when the first Star Wars movie was just called "Star Wars". I think "The Mandalorian" is great and I absolutely LOVED "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story".
