The Pre-War 259E was built between 1933 to 1942. I was so excited to receive it I said "Post War" by mistake when opening the box and recording the video. Thanks for watching and the comment.

It's on the same campus as Tompkins County Regional Airport. I saw a jet boat spraying the weeds in the pond last week. They take great care of the pond and surrounding grounds. It's a beautiful place. Yesterday a hawk splashed in the water about 25 feet in front of me and fly away with a fish in it's talons.

American Flyer S-Gauge train sizes are midway between Lionel “O” and HO, literally “Half O”. It’s smaller accommodating more “miles” of trackage in a given space yet large enough to facilitate great accessories and play value. Remember, these were TOY trains and NOT highly accurate “MODEL” trains. The realism was by and large better than most “O” gauge of the same era. Two-rail realism incurred anoying wiring complications compared to 3-rail products. My oldest AF train was an outlandish Christmas present from one of my favorite aunt’s, Christmas 1954. It has thousands of operation hours yet still functions perfectly! Check out my channel to see my 70 year old American Flyer trains.
