For goodness sake…she probably had a personality disorder. Maybe she did have DID. To let your client read the only book on DID, then to years later begin treating that same client again, then to quietly ignore the fact that not just a therapist but the same therapist (you) suggested a book on DID to her then to deliberately turn the client into a cause celeb in order to sell a book of your own, then to make the client financially dependent on you while racking up a lifetime of debt in unpaid fees, to make the success of the book the escape from paying back those fees, then to continue to profit off the story Dr. Wilbur should have been arrested for this. But to pretend that this is where DID comes from and to use it as a straw man to knock down…many many plausible DID cases, dating from way before and after “Sybil” to pretend that DID is all that strange compared to other phenomena like traumatic (dissociative) amnesia and serious delusions, to equate it always to lying and factitious disorder, that is incredibly stupid. If you have an experience of another specific identity with a separate volition repeatedly taking over your actions, whether you are fully unaware or fully conscience of it or something in between, then it’s basically the core elements of DID P-DID, or OSDD. That dies not mean that these identities have more reality than you experiencing them. It does not mean they necessarily come out every other day or have as complex a “personality” as you do (though that is a possibility).

Phyllis Schlafly ended up being right about a lot of things though. She was able to forsee the development of the draft for wonen, trannies going into bathrooms where they don't belong, she was also outspoken about the UN trying to override national sovereignty. All of these things came true. If she only stayed at home then her opponents would characterize as unqualified to speak in a debate/politics.

The Democrats being an "antidemocratic party" is nothing new. This has been a consistent thread throughout the party's entire history. Here's a quick review for the uneducated: they 1) led American Indian deportations in the Trail of Tears; 2) advocated for slavery and started the Civil War; 3) suppressed black voting rights after the Civil War; 4) voted against women's suffrage until Republicans overturned their majority; 5) overwhelmingly voted for Prohibition; 6) pushed to cede local, state, and national representation to the international League of Nations; and, 7) blocked the original Civil Rights Act put forth under the Eisenhower Administration by Republican members of Congress.

Now my doctor has prescribed Prozac and I'm terrified to take it. I've heard so many negative things about it like suicide attempts etc. I discussed this with my doctor and begged for Citalopram. She insisted i try this. Should i try it?

reminds me a little of the chiropractors who for 100 years "saw" the subluxation on the xray they put up until society called them out on it and they rarely use the word and now it's suddenly "microscopic". I read xrays daily. I have been to a chiro years ago who did that, pointed to some BS spot and told me I was subluxed. Just like a "rib is out of place" or the pelvis is twisted. BS, but they find themselves pushing it to give you something to hang on to and coming back even though many don't believe it..

i often pondered this deeply. "IF" we say anything negative is a mental health disorder then we HAVE to say then we're all born nearly perfect in our emotions and actions. what I have pondered is why we tend to lean evil? Why the dark side. The schizophrenic does not obsessively plant flowers on the highway, or hear sweet soft music, or voices saying ""you're a good man." ? and yes in medicine there are always exceptions, but they are not the rule. Why does the schizophrenic hear voices telling him to kill, or to cover all the sockets in the house as people are listening, why do the vocies tell them to kill or hurt instead of the OPPOSITE? Why lean evil insted of being super good? Something odd about that to me.

Much of what we've been manipulated into believing about historical figures and events by the left-wing media are untrue. That McCarthy was some great villain and not a proud patriot looking to stamp out the very real commie threat to our core American values was perhaps one of the biggest falsehoods of all. And Murrow was just another commie-sympathizer pos, like all the rest of the media.

This administration is putting many families in difficult situations. A lot of people are financially struggling to live, put a roof over their head and put food on the table. Things are getting worse these days, if you don't find means of multiplying your money you might wake up a day to realise you didn't plan well for yourself and family.

I was very fortunate to have been raised in a large apartment complex with a huge pool. I learned to swim at the YMCA as a part of my PE class during my second grade year. Then I just applied what I learned over the summer. By the time I went back to school for my third grade year, I was a swimmer! I have been certified as a lifeguard by the American Red Cross and taught swimming. I love to swim! My mom learned to swim at the age of 35 because my sister and I learned. Now I’ve got my son in swimming lessons. He has no fear of the water at all! Swimming is freedom! Swimming is survival!

It's 2024, and women are loosing hard-fought rights, but I guess we don't need them legislated, right? She benefited from getting a good education and having a career, but she thinks women should stay at home and raise families? As i understand it, she didn't raise her own kids alone, she had help because she was busy telling OTHER women to get back in the kitchen. Such a hypocrite!

*_"This is the usual. Try and shame people who don't believe."_* No, this is a rebuttal and debunk of the usual claims regurgitated by gullible online conspiracy believers with no actual knowledge of the subject whatsoever. Known science and technology is not a question of "belief". *_"I don't believe we went."_* You personal incredulity has zero bearing upon reality. *_"Anyone who thinks enough to look into it probably won't either."_* You mean those entire branches of science, specialist fields of expertise and disciplines such as aerospace engineering and rocketry, Pulitzer nominated investigative journalists, technical authors, Nobel Prize winning physicists, in excess of 10,000 private sector investors and organisations or each of the 76 other Space Agencies on the planet to name a few? Or should we instead listen to insignificant, random scientific illiterates on the comments section of You Tube that allow online grifters to tell them what to think about a subject that they have absolutely zero understanding of? Appreciating that to "look into" something does not involve self-proclaimed overnight armchair 'expertise' following a squandered evening consuming junk You Tube videos, cherry picked click bait confirmation bias, quote mining and circular self-referencing pseudoscientific conspiracy websites, do feel free to share - how precisely did you "look into it" yourself?
