Decades ago I was fishing ponds out in the woods…our province has oodles of them. We have oodles of moose too. I came across a mother moose by a big hole like this one only to realize her calf was stuck in it. I was able to pull the calf out of the big hole without getting trampled by the mom…maybe she sensed I was helping. Great video…brought back that memory for me…thanks for that. 👏

I see a ton of moose, both on camera and in person. I don't know how much of the heaving is from physical effort or from fear or anxiety, but he appears stressed to me. but maybe that's just my human projection.

Ive seen dead elk and bovines in holes like that.
Decades ago I was fishing ponds out in the woods…our province has oodles of them. We have oodles of moose too. I came across a mother moose by a big hole like this one only to realize her calf was stuck in it. I was able to pull the calf out of the big hole without getting trampled by the mom…maybe she sensed I was helping. Great video…brought back that memory for me…thanks for that. 👏
That was a brave act helping a calf when a cow was right there.
