My name is Joe Sweeney and welcome to JustKeepHiking where I encourage you to get outdoors and do some hiking and backpacking and don't let your age deter you. I believe that age is just a number and if you're reasonably fit you can do the things that I'm going to show you on my videos. Of course I strongly suggest that you do so with the blessing of your personal physician.

Were you (Saturday 7/20/24) in a climbing group wearing green shirts? Bumps on a log was the group name I think.
Just hiked Gorge Brook yesterday. Your video was very helpful. Thanks for posting it!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching
Clouds n corruptiongo together like pods n a pea.......
Did Mount Pierce last week, no view. Another time. Hiking in the winter gives my legs a needed rest from rocks and mosquitoes.
You make excellent videos. I like them all. I'm a retired videographer for the government. I appreciate the detail you put in your videos. I'm almost 70 and been hiking for 3 years. Love it. I will do this hike this year. Keep up the good work. I'd make videos of my hikes, but I'm slow enough on the trail and stopping to set up recordings would slow me down even more.
Clouds and northern New England go together like peanut butter and jelly.
Great video! Thanks for sharing 🤙🏽
Glad you liked it
How are you doing? Do you have any hikes planned in the Whites? Your ability amazes me for your age group(my husband and I are approaching 60). Love New Hampshire hiking.
Hope you are well Joe. Love your videos
Thank you for watching. Sorry for not responding sooner. I haven't been making videos or monitoring my channel. I might start up again soon
Doing Mount Eisenhower this week.Hope the weather cooperates. Also hope that out 59 yr old legs and knees hold out.
Love your videos. Have you done any more hikes this year?
I'm glad you're enjoying them. I have not done any recent hikes but plan on starting again soon. I hope to be doing some more videos in the near future
@@joesweeney7216 joe, my husband and I are coming back to the Whites end of October. We're 59, former runners, but our knee meniscus surgeries stopped that activity years ago. We did Willard this past June. Would you recommend Pierce or Mooseilake(sp)? We're in good shape, but not superstars like these 25 yr olds running up and down the mountain. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you. Jane K.
Love your videos as an "older" 59 yr old hiker. Do you have a new one coming soon?
My husband and I find you so inspiring, as we are almost 60 and have just started hiking the Whites. Every hiking video seems to be 25 yr olds, which are fun, but we can't run like they do. Do you have any new videos planned?
Thanks for filming and commenting
Beautiful. Thanks for filming
where is the beginning of the trail located?
I'm an ole timer who still likes to hike. Thanks for the inspiration. Yes, everyone passes me too.
Great review thanks! Pierce is on our short list, just did Tecumseh and Waumbek. Like the Mizpah loop you showed so will probably add that the hike.
Nice video & background music. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing views! Good for you climbing to the top. I hike in Florida and everything is flat. This looks really challenging.
I am planning to hike up unknown pond trail, 2.2 miles to the tent site, set up camp, then hit horn, bulge and Cabot. Spend the night at the tent site and hit Rogers Ledge in the morning for a sunrise. Is this what you guys did, minus the ledge? Do you happen to know if the ledge is good for a sunrise?
Also, how hard is this hike? Wondering more for my 5 and a half year old. It will be her first possible 4k. We are from Ma and she will be practicing in the Blue Hills before hand. Thanks!
Good video liked it. Hiking to me is the best stress reliever ever!
Wow! what a nice channel you have! Found you because I am thinking of Mt. Roberts for this weekend. Great sound track, too.
hey bud was there this am and couldnt find the trail!! i saw the hiking sign and parking!!
We went in via the west end of the Unknown Pond Trail. If you have a map you can see where we started
Great video, thanks! That tree blowdown is wild, looks so different. We're headed up to do the same hike in a couple weeks, first time for the kids...we'll see how it goes 😆
Thanks. I hope you have a great hike and make some great memories for your kids.
Wonderful video! Thank you very much! I'm heading to Mt. Pierce this morning with my son - his first 4000 footer - and this is an inspiration.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I hope you and your son have a wonderful experience!
Awesome video!
Hiking this for sunrise in the morning, I’m pumped
Hope you enjoyed your hike!
The view from that summit looks strikingly similar to the view from Wittenberg in the Catskills. Real nice.
Awesome ! Going to have to check that hike out ! I agree with the bandana ! I always wear one ,I hate sweat running into my eyes. I’m getting older, and I don’t always need to “ do” a 4,000 footer ! Thanks for sharing man !
Glad you enjoyed the video. You will enjoy the hike for sure
Awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Outstanding Joe! I like the music.
Thanks Guy. It's one of my favorite hikes
Very relaxing video, and beautiful hike. Fellow New Hampshire hiker here! Thanks for sharing, and looking forward to following your adventures!

I have forgotten have beautiful the streams are.
This is a really beautiful trail. I just might have to revisit it in the fall and take more video of the brook. Thanks for watching
Thank you for taking us along the Mt Shaw loop. I’m planning my first hike at the age of 70 along this same loop. Great job with your go pro. .
Really enjoying your videos Joe ! Thanks

Thanks Mel, Glad you liked it
Joe, very cool, no pun intended.
Thank You Guy
Joe, great job with the GoPro and music to compliment the serenity of the hike.
Thank you Marianne. I look forward to doing more
Love watching you hike! I get tired just watching you, lol, I can't even hardly climb the hill to my driving from my mailbox without getting out of breath and my legs have no strength! so I pretend I'm hiking with you, lol
I wish you could hike with me. You would love it!
Beautiful as always
