    Thank you very much. To be honest I would not consider Colca as one of the highlights of Perú for me (those would be Huayhuash day 5 and 6, paso del Zorro day hike, Chachani and Misti volcanoes. For now, as I am not yet finished with Perú :). Tho in fairness I do have a strong bias towards high mountains.

    Michal, what brand/model of the solar panel did you use? Was it effective - considering that it was not very sunny? Thanks!

  • @kkaryk
    @kkaryk28 күн бұрын

    There was a completely clear sky except for the first two days. I don't even bother unfolding my solar panel unless I have sun. The solar panel I use is the Sandberg Solar Charger 40W QC3.0+PD+DC . It can charge my phone+camera simultaneously 0-100% inside two hours in direct sun.

    How many batteries (and what is the total mAh) did you take?

  • @kkaryk
    @kkaryk29 күн бұрын

    Oh me and my electronics, thats where I go overkill... 1 camera (DJI osmo action 3, 3x1770 mAh battery), 2 phones (5 and 6 Ah, I never even turned on the 6 Ah phone), 20 Ah power bank. But most importantly 40W 6 cells solar panel (big bad boy weighting 1,3 kG). With the weather I got I could honestly make do with just the solar panel, 1 phone (tho I would take backup phone anyway for GPS), 2 batteries for the camera and no power bank.

    Wow božská krajina zatím nevím kde v Alpách jsi ale krásné

  • @kkaryk
    @kkarykАй бұрын

    Anglicky "alpine route" - "alpský typ cesty" znamená takovou cestu necestu horama (pěšina občas může být, občas nemusí, občas se musí najít kudy kam a překonat terény kde je nutný toho prostě dělat víc než jen dávat nohu před nohu). HuayHuash se dá obejít "normální" stezkou, kde se chodí s osly, nebo se podívat víc do hor a jít tou "alpskou" variantou. Já kombinuju oboje (Jdu po alpský variantě, ale vyhýbám se těm částem kde bych musel třeba slaňovat nebo jít sám po ledovci). Proto název "alpine-ish" routes, nejdu totiž standardním HuayHuash okruhem. A jinak je to samozřejmě v Peru, Cordillera HuayHuash.

    Thanks, this was a base camp transfer and resupply day - so no cool summits, just a grueling hike with 30+kg on my back - about 30km, 800m elevation gain and 1150m elevation loss. It has its charm, but I sure prefer to go light and high.

    Thanks, on this day I was at the most touristy/crowded area of Teide (Los Roques de García, Teide summit itself with the help of a cable car). I was planning this trip about 2 weeks before I went and there was no way to get permission for the summit on such a short notice (they will not let you go beyond the top lift station unless you booked a permission for the summit for that day/hour, impossible to do later than 3-4 months ahead). So the only way to get to the summit for me was to join some organized group with a mountain guide. Anyway, this is not how I normally like to do things, but it worked out pretty well. The tour I ended up finding included cable car ticket up, summit and descent on foot on the east side during the sunset to see the pyramid shadow - very cool sight. Tho I still prefer the hike I did the following day - I ascended Teide on the west side and used the cable car to go down, much cooler terrains around the old caldera (Pico viejo).

    Thank you for your kind words, this was actually an off day, all I did was go get water and go back to base camp. That area was the most remote/abandoned one from the whole trip tho (it is far from any paved road and the "camp zone" Fuente del Llano has no water - tho it appeared that at some point it did). It certainly had its charm :)

    Thanks, it's nothing special - just mounted on the board and tilted a little bit upwards (about 15°, otherwise half the screen would be the board). Horizon stabilization is the important part here, if your camera does not have a good horizon stabilization feature forget about it. This was shot on DJI osmo action 3.

    Thank you. That this the way I like to hike - light, fast, far and high, then go to civilization and have a proper rest :). I am assuming you are a local? Amazing place, lots of hikes nearby and a train station right in Mallnitz, I will surely visit again at some point. There was a perfect star alignment for my trip - out of season, perfect weather (well it wasn't just the stars, I checked the weather forecast and bought train tickets 2 days prior haha). The only concern I had was that when I arrived (24.09.), I saw a snow line at about 2300m (there was a cold front in the previous few days). So I planed a hike to Feldseekopf on 25th, because the slope was facing southeast, so I hoped the snow would mostly melt during the morning. And the slope I climbed up to Ankogel was facing southwest, so I planned it for the next day. It worked out perfectly! The playlist of all the hikes I took in the area is here: kzread.info/head/PLO5EI7tJ3AyZkOwVZZ46qIir_J-69N8es&si=Nkq7dx92S2xGjDRZ

  • @kkaryk
    @kkaryk8 жыл бұрын

    its not just about lifting the weight, you need to be able to control the thing reasonably well with the additional weight... given my experience with the copter i think you probably could go a bit higher (like 300 or maybe 350 grams) and it would still do ok, but 500g is definitely too much for effective flight. Anyway, pretty much every action camera weights less than even those 250g, so for someone looking to get into aerial photography and to not spend much money, mjx 101 is a great option.

We went from Vrata valley, which is is a lot closer and it took us about 4 hours to the peak (we went back the same day...). Looking at the map i suppose you could get to triglav in a day from Vršič, but definitelly not back. It would probably be best to spent a night at Triglavski dom na Kredarici.

    I used After effects for the intro and because i didnt have anything else installed at the time I used Movie maker for basic cutting and putting it all together.This was the first time i used movie maker and i was quite surprised by it. You wont make any effects with it but for what it is it works pretty well, the biggest problem with it is that you can export only in .wmv but you can choose bitrate up to 130 000 (which is like uncompressed) and compress it in another software (like MediaCoder).
