I get the sense Meryl never liked Anne. They’re too different. She probably saw right through her pretentiousness. And no journalist ever realized, including this one, that she couldn’t care less about her Oscar record.

If she only knew that the Major (Gianni Alemanno) who handed her the award and his wife (Isabella Rauti) are far-right politicians...

Tired of movies trying to social engineer society into a totally unsustainable level of immorality. Who's running HW again? Oh, yeah....

1:09- Stay away from adultery. "‭1 Corinthians 6:18 NIV‬ [18] Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. " "‭Exodus 20:14 NIV‬ [14] “You shall not commit adultery." "‭Hebrews 13:4 NIV‬ [4] Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. " "‭James 4:17 NIV‬ [17] If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them." "‭Jeremiah 13:27 NIV‬ [27] your adulteries and lustful neighings, your shameless prostitution! I have seen your detestable acts on the hills and in the fields. Woe to you, Jerusalem! How long will you be unclean?” "‭1 John 1:9 NIV‬ [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. " "‭Luke 16:18 NIV‬ [18] “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. " "‭Matthew 19:9 NIV‬ [9] I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.” "‭Proverbs 6:32 NIV‬ [32] But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself." "‭Romans 7:2-3 NIV‬ [2] For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him. [3] So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man." Film is great, my only issue is Jane's friends and therapist condoning a sin.

Did no one give Charlie Rose feedback on how to conduct interviews and not bulldoze the guests? Oh wait, he was a known womanizer and did this with his female guests.

Excellent trio of stories that thread themselves together beautifully at the conclusion. A must-see film with top notch acting, especially by Nicole Kidman, Jeff Daniel’s, and especially Ed Harris.

Miranda Priestly is an AMAZING character. She may be the "Devil" but you can't help but LOVE her!! She looks fabulous, she has a real presence, she's REALLY good at her job, she doesn't need to shout or swear to tear someone down. She's also funny as hell! Her insults and sarcasm is so brutal and on point. Meryl Streep is a Goddess and Miranda is a Queen x x

I’m glad Meryl Streep took the role seriously instead of “having fun” playing the role. I love a good camp performance but the way she played her added weight to the character.

This guy's whole age theory of how the younger man can't be younger than 40 for a relationship to work would never be put on an older man with a younger woman. It really depends much more on the individuals. My guy is 16 years younger than me, met him when he was 29. Works just fine!

Ms. Streep DID NOT work on set with the lions. When the lions were present for filming, Meryl was not scheduled until a week later. The lions were trained by my decades-long friend, Hubert Wells, and Meryl was doubled in all lion scenes by another long-time friend, Doree Sitterley, a co-trainer with Wells. But Ms. Streep the movie star does not mind claiming credit for working with the lions when she was not there at all.
