Follow me on the trail as I explore the woods. We will chat about camping , backpacking, hammock camping, bushcraft and bushcraft knives. I hope to do some gear reviews as well.

Saved 6 minutes of my life by not watching a man make coffee. Regrets? I've had a few. lol Mora, SAKs and Opinels are in my blood since I've owned many for decades before there was ever a bushcraft craze. I have two scandi from Finland, and over all I reach for scandi or flat grind knives. Multi-tools, after Gerber I stuck with leatherman and own many Waves, a Charge and a Surge. Stick with one of these three, LMs bargain offerings just don't cut it. It looks like you bought the bushcraft "look". Some people think they need to buy all the same gear to be a bushcrafter but those who came before us bought the most modern gear at their outfitter or general store.

Nice to see you out and about Wade. I am DYING to get out but ....well you know how life gets. I really like the idea of truck camping the way you do to allow you just to get away for an over nighter anywhere without too much set up. I'd planned to get a cap for my truck and do a basic sleeping set up etc - but two repairs over just over 6K to the truck( one caused by rodents chewing wiring) ended that idea for this year!! Just picked up the Gränsförs Bruk hunters axe. I like the size and balance. finer edge and sleeker profile than a camp axe, and the poll is rounded so that once you get the animal’s hide started, you can strip it away by hitting it like a hammer. I haven’t done it yet, but it is very packable and slicy, so it is on my rucksack/get home bag right now, and lives in the jeep.
