Tyler Potter

Just another Wichita Kansas guy out trying to kill all tires from off-road to track, if it has a motor I'm normally all about it!

    I have a 24 rubicon 35 extreme and I get good flow out the center vents, even if I didn't I love the big screen. my mirror does auto dims, there is no lever, just had to turn this on yesterday since my top is off and I normally have it turned off. mine is bikini pearl and I haven't noticed any glares on the hood maybe the white glares more.

    Hello, quick question and looking for your opinion. I recently went from a Mojave to a Rubicon Gladiator, and the noticeable ride difference was surprising. I know you have a rubicon JL, but what is your opinion on the stock suspension? Would you recommend upgrading the shocks, or do you feel the rubicon factory suspension is comparable to upgrading to Fox or Billestein shocks?

    Thank you. I just put 37’s on my dad’s JL 392 and I need to adjust the tire size. Didn’t know where the security module is. I have used JScan for years on my WK2, it’s an amazing tool. One of my favorite things is the fog lights with high beams. Cheers!

    So, if the truck already has the camera module in the windshield from the factory, is it simply installing the hard button on the wheel and enabling the feature in the firmware? Are there other parts needed to make ACC work?

    So only the rear JL links will work on the front of a wj? I can get both the rear and front links from a 2021 rubicon but from your info here only the rears will work. Thanks for your reply

  • @TylerPotter

    Correct, the factory front JL links are really short. So factory rear JL links work great on the front of a WJ and factory rear Jeep Gladiator JT links work on the rear of a WJ.

    Hi, I know I'm watching this 3 years later, but approximately how much does doing this cost? I have a jeep and was quoted about $6100 to repair code P-0394 & P-0017. I don't know if it's worth repairing or just driving it until it dies and just replace the engine.

    I have a '08 WK with a 3.7 that I have owned for 12 years and have put about 160K on it, and it by far has been the best Vehicle that I have ever owned. I have lifted it, but not with spacers. 2" EMU springs front & rear with Bilstien 5100 struts up front & JBA upper control arms. currently running 265/70/17 Goodyear Duratrac tires on stock rims... only thing I have done to the motor in 12 years besides oil changes & and tune ups in a water pump and a crank position sensor... currently has 232K miles on it, and I wouldn't think twice about driving it to Alaska and back from Illinois... It would just kill me in fuel cost since I am lucky to get 17 MPG from it...

    I've got a 2023 Willys Wrangler. I notice a big reflection that I throw forward when I'm going down the road. I think the reflection is off my windshield. However, the color is Sarge green and nothing comes back and hits me--thank God. I also put one of those freedom stars on the hood. Maybe you should install the 1941 hood decal that will cover the whole center of your hood?

    I had a 2010 Laredo with the Hemi and QTII. For some reason the entire car was hunched forward, with the rear up high, it’s like a reverse “Carolina squat”. Either the previous owner messed it up by installing shortened front coils to impersonate an SRT or the front suspension just simply gave out. Poor thing seemed extremely neglected, never looked clean no matter how many times I washed it due to all the spotty paints they applied to try cover up rust. Woulda been a great ride if a simple pothole didn't kill the left front axle& steer knuckle. Hope it’s in a better place now.

    392 XR is the most capable factory Wrangler You ordered the most capable Jeep you could afford…not the same thing.

  • @TylerPotter
    @TylerPotter19 күн бұрын

    Unfortunately the 392 has the clutch operated transfer case that does not offer a physical lock between the front and rear-drive shaft. It only uses clutches to attempt to apply and hold the drive shafts together, we have seen a few issues with that in the shop on the clutch type transfer case equipped JL's and JT's with worn clutches. That system will also default to open operation if there is a wheel speed sensor fault in the system. There is just a lot of options 4 having issues, if you were to have a wheel speed sensor get damaged on the trail, you then immediately would lose any sort of transfer case lock. Please don't get me wrong I am not talking down on the 392 as it is a awesome Jeep to drive and makes amazing noises. I just didn't want to have to buy a $100000 Jeep to immediately want to spend a few more thousand dollars, trying to swap transfer cases.

    It is the worst investment I have been able to make in my car, I had to wear out the brake disc, practically leave it as the factory one, since the pads are not of good quality, they emit a screeching sound , dealer said they had this problems even in Ferrari and other expensive cars😅, they heat up equally or faster than the factory, I talked to the supplier and what they did was change my set of pads and the same problem always continued .

    I just picked up an 07 as fixer for daily use. I like it quite a bit and I think looks wise it's one of my favorites. the 3.7 actually feels quite good and has better power than I thought it would have. I may be going the lowering route as I like things to handle and ride sure and firm. Wondering if I can shoe in one of the new Hurricane turbo 6's in it.. Hmm.. things to ponder.
