The Systems, at 29" is my biggest boat, but due to the vacuum-formed Polystyrene hull, It's not really that rugged. My pond is not that big so the smaller boats seem to work better. I did get an ARF boat to run at the Model Yacht Pond in San Diego.

I like the extra torque you get from an outrunner, and even in tight quarters the fan cooling is generally adequate. That saves running cooling lines when space is limited. It doesn't work in every application, but I like that route when it's a realistic option.

Good reminder about the calipers. Mine got sold when I got rid of all my automotive tools when that career ended. I didn't think I'd ever have a use for it, and been getting by with my trusty 6 inch steel rule for now

@@mikewoo4663 Just so there is no confusion, I ran it on 6 ROUND cells (6 x 1.4V = 8.4V or the equivalent of 2S LiPos). The brushed motor WILL run with cleaning and lubrication, but a 36mm brushless motor would be far superior. Something like a Rocket 2958 would be impressive too. My email is in the description above.

Wow you've got some nice paint jobs. Or is it decals? My problem with the video is i don't know how to send it to you. It's to big a file for email and as far as i know KZread doesn't let viewers show videos. That's all I have. No Facebook or any of that spy sites.

Those are the "factory" decals that I modified to my liking with some yellow rattle-can paint. As for a video, load it on to a micro SD card and put it in an envelope.....

Pretty cool little mono! Personally, I'm over the small hulls. Learned my lesson with the last 17.5" F1 tunnel hull. It was fun for the time, but there's only so much you can do with it, and the boat handles like crap when you add any kind of weight over stock.

Yeah, weight really kills the little ones. There are a lot of physical restraints where i run (rocks, bridges, fountains, shallow reefs), plus the water is almost always smooth as glass, so the little boats work just fine for me in that location. The saltwater pond I mention is bigger and I'm thinking a bigger ARF to be my "Dedicated" salt water boat.

Like the 1-26 of the sailboat world. I know a lot of guys get real serious about sailboats and whenever there were two or more boats on the water the race was ON!

In my area my son and I are the only rc boaters... pioneers if you will🤪 and I've found that just as in the real world "yachting" in rc also has their nose stuck up in the air. Just my experience.

Hey I'm just proud to get a Dr. Jet boat and I thank you very much. I bought a very good set of alen wrenches from harbor freight. They have ball ends and hardened metal. I've been using them for 6 months and they've really held up.
