A couple of minor quips - the 05-06 came with 175 horsepower and 180 torque (you flip those numbers in your review) in the 2.5, and they did offer a v6 model since 2002 (SE and SL) that came with a 3.5 L engine and 250 (02-04) to 255 (05-06) horsepower. The SE-R bumped that up to 260 horsepower along with extra torque, and a hefty increase in price ($23-26k for SE / SL --> $30K+ for SE-R) and the other goodies your review. 😄 I always wanted one when I couldn't afford it and didn't want one (a few years later when they were only in the used market) when I could. I'm the original owner of a 2006 SER/auto . The car has 215K miles and the tranny still shifts well, but is a little slower on the manual shifts. I've had it regularly serviced at 30k intervals. At 180K I started fluid exchange only. No transmission flush as that can dislodge clutch debris in the system and lead to overall failure. More important is that the car you buy has had the timing chain serviced. The guides and chain should be replaced as this is a failure point and subject to a recall / court ordered settlement.

The total for changing out all of it was about 2500.00 at the time but nissan paid for all the parts and my part was about 1000.00 only because the warranty ran out by time and not miles and they did that because it was my 5th nissan I had purchased over the years. I just turned 60 and love the car
@@mknucarman I wonder how that whining noise sounds like, I haven’t heard it unless I’m being deaf lol. I’ll call the dealer it was purchased at to see if there’s anything they can do to help me! I would love a discount on it too. I’m sure the car will run way better with updated timing chain parts in it. It’s such a good car overall.
What size tires are on this car
I just bought this exact car, Love It!
Nice i actually ran one the other day they sound really nice.
how is it Annie? im debating buying a 2011 coupe this week
@@JSAUC3 have u bought it ? I have this offer 25k miles 2011 coupe premium. Still debating on buying it I don’t wanna keep up with The maintenance 24/7
I don't understand any of the dislikes on this video. This review is probably the best/most in depth of a V coupe I've seen on KZread thus far. I want one now!!!
cuz he doesn’t know what he’s talking about lol
I'v owned a 2011 CTS-V sedan for about 2.5 years now. I'ts an amazing car. I have a cold air intake and Corsa exhaust. Other than that it's stock. Love the supercharger whine. Thanks for the video. I am looking forward to getting a C8 Corvette in a couple of years.
Are they fast??
@@solely1626 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds. mid 12 second 1/4 mile. Back in the day it had the fastest time around the nuremberg track for a production sedan. So yeah, it's fast, but there are definitely faster newer cars produced now.
Im 67 1/2 YO and a retired Union Pipe fitter. My 2012 CTS-V was my retirement gift (2017) to me for 44 years as a fitter. Its a OBM Coupe, because 4 doors are for old people and also its a 6 speed manual, because automatics are for old people! Per Cadillac I have one of 9 built in 2012. I call it it the V -Rocket, my brother calls it Master Blaster! This car is nothing but fun and that is what being young is all about.
MANUALS ARE MORE FUN, UNTIL YOU RACE THAT OLD GUY IN A AUTO AND GET SAD.
Awesome
Good for you! It sounds like you really earned it! Enjoy!
Hope your still enjoying it
Hell yea brother I’m from local 520 out of Harrisburg Pennsylvania how bout yourself🎉
Try using something other than a potato to do a car review and actually research a car before doing a review... audio cutting in and out........
Nice
I have one and The motor is not from the Z06 The engine is out of the ZR1 the only difference between the two is the supercharger, the cts v has the 1.9 and the ZR1 has a 2.1
Andrew Mason----was the ZR1 motor an optional motor you could order? My 2014 Coupe has the Z06 motor.
s w nope that’s the way they come just the ZR1 motor has titanium internally and the larger supercharger
That’s not true wrong c6 generation zr1 came with a LS9, the LSA that comes in this cts v also comes in the gen 5 ZL1 camaro. Yes the LS9 from the corvette has a bigger blower but it’s engine block has a totally different construction, where as the LSA is basically just a supercharged LS3
