AquaCleanse + UV = No root rot. You cant have beneficial microbes, but who cares (in hydroponics). Buy the gallon jug of AquaCleanse for 25$ and dilute it in an unused container. Lasts for a while and very cost effective.

why do magnesium and phosphate precipitate as magnesium phosphate . similar to calcium sulfate would precipitate if we mix solution A and solution B

Thankyou so much for this awesome video 🤩🤩.. can you please recommend me a humidity sensor for radiosonde. As it goes up in the air upto kms. so a sensor is required which can bear this harsh enviroment.

Isn't the amount of sulfate in the solutions going to supply a hefty amount of sulphur to the plants? I got that u chose sulfates because of them being somewhat readily available and cost effective, but i'd love to hear if there is a decent alternative to the Potassium Sulfate in the mix :) Also you make by far the most informative and in-depth content about this on youtube, thanks for this

Hey Daniel:) I keep coming back to this amazing video of yours. Last year I used Masterblend in my kratky setup, and used the B-solution from this video to replenish with, and it worked well on tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and ground cherries. I have a few questions, that I hope you can answer. When I do the Masterblend solution, should I go for the EC reading, that is normally recommended for the plant, or should I go for the EC from the A+B+C solution from this video? As I understand the numbers, your EC is only around 1.4, which seems pretty low? Also when I mix the B-solution from this video, I end up with an EC around 0.6, is that right? And is it enough for tomatoes for instance? Thanks from Denmark Jens

All my love from Thailand 🇨🇷 ❤! I believe in both the importance of knowing where everthing comes from and how it's made. So it's no failure if this lab experience is more expensive. But bluntly, is it cheaper to make for personal use than buying it? It's just for my red lettuce, I don't need tight tolerances or a long shelf life. Just lettuce without e.Coli 😂. -Retired Science Teacher with tons of time.

Dr. Fernandez, the rice hulls are used as is? here in the Philippines, we burn rice hull to ash and you get a bit of potassium and lots of silica. we add some boron. we dilute the solution of course. and now your plant transport system is good...blessings to all

Hello Dr. Danniel, Thanks verry much for sharing this information with the world. I was searching for the chemicals to compose the solution and encountered I problem. I can’t Find the anhydrous iron sulfate but the iron sulfate heptahydrate is available. The same problem with Manganese Sulfate (anhydrous), the monohydrate is available. The Zinc Sulfate (monohydrate) seems not to exist according to Wikipedia? Witch replacement to use for those chemicals and how to adjust the amount in the formula. Please keep in mind that I m not a Chemist. Thanks verry much for you reply. 👍

Hey i wanted to ask, in my country they do not sell silica products nor potassium silicate in a quantity less than 25kg which is a lot, but they do sell colloidal silica mesh 200 USP, as far i am concerned only a product buddhas Tree - Solar Green Power uses a suspension of 10% colloidal silica, will it be okay for the plant? i will try anyways and report back if i remember lmao

Skip the harsh chemicals! Silica gel or another desiccant powder can be a great indoor pest control option. Here's why: Safe for you and your family: Unlike pyrethroids, silica gel is non-toxic to humans and pets (when used as directed). Effective pest control: The powder sticks to insects' bodies, drying them out (dehydration) which leads to their death within hours or days. How to use it: Grind desiccant packets (like the ones you find in shoeboxes) into a fine powder. Carefully spread the powder in areas where you've seen pests (avoiding contact with food prep areas and out of reach of children and pets).

I built a hydroponic tower using stackable trays, including the pump, holding tank, timer, tubing and irrigation connections Complete with seeds and ready to plant for $21. I have made a few for friends as gifts but now many people want to buy one. But I am afraid I created a monster of work. My system is similar to the Mr. Stacky systems that sell for $300!

Why cant the same be done with macro nutrients. I also want to create A&B concentrated solution that is 1000x. So you only have to use approximately 3ml of each per litre ? Would this be possible

Hello Daniel. First off thank you for all your information freely available it helps so much. So after the flip/stretch I am noticing PH swinging way too high in conjunction with a clear accumulation of No3. So I pulled CalNit. I did a defoliation to try and swing plant morphology more generative by increasing sink load. I’m also watering @ 5.5 and bumped potassium up in my regimine, increasing frequency while slightly lowering duration of irrigation events to ensure more runoff delivered at a slightly slower pace. I increased the room temp slightly along with slightly raising the humidity. In hopes of raising plant metabolism while slowing transpiration to help translocate and “use” that excess no3 while treating the root cause. Does this sound like a sound approach? Thanks!
