Oppenheimer is an average movie made by a good director and with good actors. The editing is terrible, not from the timeline of the story but from the cuts and soundtrack. There's 1 second cuts when it's only dialogue for no apparent reason (specially on the romantic scenes), sometimes it cuts for an expressionless person's face when someone else is talking and then quickly back to the person with the dialogue. And music in the background for about 90% of a 3 hour movie, many times in places that isn't necessary either. Definitely overrated.

Great video, man.🙂 That's a solid list, especially in how well you explain yourself. There are quite a few movies from 2023 that I haven't seen yet, especially from the last couple of months, partly because some of them haven't been released in my country yet. We won't be getting films like _The Zone of Interest,_ _American Fiction,_ _Poor Things,_ _The Holdovers_ and _The Iron Claw_ until January and February. As it stands at the moment, my top ten favourites are… #10 = _Past Lives_ #9 = _Missing_ #8 = _Sound of Freedom_ #7 = _Talk to Me_ #6 = _Dumb Money_ #5 = _Tetris_ #4 = _Oppenheimer_ #3 = _Nimona_ #2 = _Godzilla Minus One_ And #1 = _Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One_

Year-end lists are grand occasions to refine our tastes, to perhaps move beyond expected likes, and your list is distinctively yours, clear from passing on Killers of the Flower Moon, Barbie and Maestro (unfortunately Bradley Cooper forgets, as he faultlessly imitates Bernstein, that the former boy genius was respected for his ability to create, not just juggle relationships). Personally, I eschew violent epics who count on gunplay and trendy visuals, but am thrilled with a director who creates an entire world that is believable and often unsettling, i.e. the Emma Stone film--what an absolute gem! And what a contrast between your second and third selections! Thanks again for your shared cinema knowledge~!!
