If I can sort of do it, then so can you
(I mainly focus on Blender animations, especially using the Grease Pencil for 2D animations)

I can import an SVG in Cinema 4D and have no need to do any of this. Blender needs to catch up.
To fast.. unclear
you go too fast
2d nice 😊
Exactly what I needed 🫡❤
Dude...... SLOW DOWN !!!! A tutorial is supposed to teach not be an exercise in how fast you can blow through material you intended to explain
Thank you KZread algorithm
Great tutorial... can you please make a detail version for this tutorial....

How much time itvtakes to render for 2d animation?
You Still Rock!
I love you for this tutorial!
THANK YOU
Im doing a model of storm from Xmen and I was just think that i need a way to make her eyes and lightning glow and this video pops up. Crazy thing is i wasnt even looking for tutorials. I just came to listen to some music while i work. I swear the youtube algorithms has like a mind reader feature.
why the hell did you go so fast! And those options arent available. Way to present a bad tip!
Am I missing something here? Why not load the SVG, go to Data - Shape - Fill mode and set to none? Then convert to mesh, fill and extrude...
Thanks bro. Awesome technique. For those that may not get it so easily, as I struggled a bit, trying to understand what you meant by "Data", after importing, you may want to select everything and scale up, or zoom in or something. This will not show you the data section, as you would have many objects selected. So, after scaling your SVG up, or zooming in, you select one of the objects, and you see the curve options there. This is where you see Fill Mode, and then you set to none. Afterwards, you convert to mesh, as he suggested. It's a really nice approach
I AM LITERALLY CRYING THIS IS GOING TO SAVE ME SO MANY HOURS OF WORK OH MY GOSH
SIR YOU ARE HEAVENSENT
Meanwhile zbrush-- just crease, zremesh(keep creases, freeze borders, same, adapt). Boom, done
If Zbrush would be as accurate in reading .svg as Blender is, You would be more than right. Unfortunately ZB sometimes does close a path or reads curve points wrong. Else, the approach You posted is right, for quickly creating clean geometry out of vector graphics.
@@Locustavideo wait, zBrush CAN read svg?!
@@Locustavideo well, I mostly make printable stuff and sculpts, remeshed text I need just to extrude it, so yeah, curvature will be fixed or after dynamesh or just ignored^^_^
@@Vladislavaklyma Sorry, can´t remember if that was a preinstalled ZPlugin or had to be downloaded from the Pixologic Plugins page. Nonetheless, it is at times a bliss, specially with not too crazy complicated .svg´s
@@Locustavideo fun fact, both is correct. There is a 3d text generator build in the zPlugins, but I still see no other distinct usage of svg's
muchas gracias

bro selected an E from a B💀
this just cuts triangle holes out of my model 😥 i just cant find any videos that can help me
Dude, I was wondering why my animation was so laggy, turns out, that’s just how it looks in The rendering video lamoooo
Yeah fuck this, did nothing except fucking up my project.
your thought is like folding the space, then make travel to other far away universal easy like walk into neighbor's fence . " love just trace it " .

GOAT BRO THANK U 🙏🏽😭😭
pleas dont make your tutorial in shorts or public a normal video. Cant jump back or someething :(
does the texture working as well after I convert it?
Very help full
too fast

Why you want to reduce the faces and edges? Yes it looks cleaner. But the verticies count will stay the same. And you create problems with ngons wich might be problematic with shading and smoothing. For extruding you can just select all and hit "E". For what cases is it useful to do that?
going way to fast
Your channel is so good. And dude, you have talent!
Thank youuuuu, pulling my hair out
It's still ngons so it doesn't work for a number of situations, but if you want this for simple 3D text, you could skip separating them and just select the triangulated geometry and click Mesh>Cleanup>Limited Disolve. It automates this process in the video with 1 click. Or just import as SVG and use extrude under the Curve>Geometry panel in the properties section. It would also give you the 3d Shape without having to convert to a mesh.
Interesting. I'm just getting back into Blender, had this particular issue, this solution worked the best for me - i.e. have some svgs, was importing and converting to mesh and running into all kinds of issues no matter the procedure, whereas leaving it a curve allowed me to bevel the way I wanted no problem.
What's the problem with ngons? I often see this comment about ngons, but never an explanation. Ultimately my goal is to do a wireframe on a 3d logo, is there another way to clean up an imported svg you'd recommend?
Not all heroes wear capes
Quick and good
Ohh this is so good! Thank you for this!
thank you so much

Hey, my blender doesnt have this "effects" pannel, what do i do to make this appear?
Make sure you have a grease pencil object selected/active, because these effects are specific to grease pencil objects
This was incredibly helpful!
you just saved me man :)
Too fast.
