Great idea.
Glad you think so!
How many Ultra did you have before you filmed this lol
LOL, half a can!
How is this tent holding up 8 months later?
I will be making a follow-up video soon.
Stanley makes a French press for less than the percolator 👍 I’m not saying replace yours just letting people know who don’t like the way a percolator works.
That is correct! French press is much faster to brew to!
Too easy for 1g and 2g crv
Yeah, it got harder further down the trail and I knew the CRV would not be able to do it.
nice work!
Thanks! I'll be coming out with more camping/overland tips and tricks.
Clever use of lid--Thank you!
Thank you for watching!
Great idea to save space
Thanks for watching!
Did you do anything for camber? Like adjustable upper control arms or anything like that?
No, I did not do anything to the camber. Some how the lift made it straight.
So cool, thank you for the review!
Thanks for watching!
Great video thank you for sharing. Cheers from the crv family. 😊
Thanks for watching!
How has the lift held up? No axle problems? I wanna do a 3inch aerogenics lift on my 2005 crv se and put 235/75/r15's on it
Update on using aftermarket axles after changing my OEM axles for aftermarket axles: I got bad vibrations and also had to replace the driver-side cv axles 5 times as the boots kept ripping on me (thank you lifetime warranty). Sadly I did not keep my OEM axles so I had to go to the junkyard to get low-mile ones. If you do plan to lift your CRV even by 1 inch in the front KEEP YOUR OEM AXLES or find high-quality aftermarket axles. Copied from my other video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z3lq0JWBpcWtd6w.html
I use a similar system but it's not as compact as yours. Really like the way your setup packs down into a toolbag. I'm in the process of going through my gear to make packing and unpacking more efficient. Seems like if i make room in my rig something else always fills the spot though. 😅
Hi, thanks for watching the video! Yeah, I am also in the process of making packing and unpacking more efficient. All tips are welcome!
Really nice kit! New to the channel
Thank you!
What parts did you use, and where did you get them?
Hi, Parts list is in the description of the video.
Thanks
Thank you for your great video! I also use the Plano! Been looking at sea to summit I may get nw thanks to you! HAPPY NEW YEAR BROTHER!
Thanks for watching! Happy New Year to you as well!
Very nice setup! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching
How do you run your solar cable to the battery when the vehicle is closed up?
I just run it through the weather stripping.
I am considering this, it looks like decent quality for the price! Wondering if you have been able to use it in rain and if so how it holds up in the rain, does it keep you dry?
Yeah, I've used it in the rain twice, it does keep us dry. The only downside is that the water does pool up in the middle of the fabric and you have to push it out. I'm still finding a way to avoid this.
@@WeekendSoftRoading Ah I see, that will help with our purchasing decisions thanks!!
Will these fit Honda CRV 2005?
They should fit 02 to 06 honda CRV's
Next time, you show the woman😎. And the hidden camping table in the trunk.. But joke besides, I like your video. For a Honda CRV Model 2 it is no problem to drive through water.. Even snow is no problem. I think you've had fun doing this trip in nature?
Thanks for watching!

Are you going to add a 6th gear? I know that’s a popular mod amongst crv/element guys
Adding a 6th gear would be ideal, but I don't think I will do this mod.
Did the 3 roof items go right onto the factory roof rack???
Yup, you just need a couple of u bolts to fit through.
Man i have never wanted a tent more the ever
Its a solid tent!
Where did u purchase these?

How many miles are on your CRV? Curious because I have a Honda CRV 2005 with 167,000 miles on it and I’m hoping it will last for very long time
I have about 226,000 KM which is 140,000 Miles on the odometer.
I just found your channel today and I’m so excited because I also have a Honda CRV 2005 SE and I’m thinking about living and traveling in mine so thank you for so many tips, and ideas. I will continue watching you along your journey
Thank you! I'm glad I can help!
awesome vid!! i love doing muddy trails in my crv too :3
Thank you!!
Very well done my friend
Thank you!
Is that what you call rough terrain? obviously a City slicker in this little puddle jumper.
Thanks for watching!
That’s like a state maintained road where I’m from
Thanks for watching!
Looks like a good time and good food!
It's always a good time with good people!
I did testing to see what the run-times would be, here are my results: Ambient Temp = 24 C | 75.2F Fridge Temp set to 2 C | 35.6F 155W Aimtom Portable Power Station Without DC Converter = 8 hours until E1 Error or Low Voltage Error With DC Converter = 18 Hours Until Power Station is Completely Drained. This was an awesome result. The plan is to use the 155W power station as a dedicated battery for the fridge. I have another 400w power station that can charge my 155w battery during the day. I also have an 80w solar panel to charge both power stations.
Thanks
No problem
Thanks for sharing 👍😎
Thank you for watching!
i have cross climate 2 tires on my 2016 and really think they are great..little pricey but worth it. also i use a deep cycle battery for the electronic use from the car and it makes a huge difference..i just subbed.
Awesome stuff! Thanks!
looking into the 2nd generation 05 or 06...i have a loan on 2016 which takes alot of my budget..this crv type looks like a good investment and fun. any suggestions on what to look for or anything you would do differently?
Hi, and thanks for watching! I would look for rust on all 4 corners and make sure it's in good shape. I would also make sure the AC works as there is what is called "black death" (search this up in Google) among the 2nd Gen CRV Community.
@@WeekendSoftRoading i had the 3rd that had a recall up to 100,000 and sure enough the compressor crapped but didnt explode.
@@tracy2762 My compressor is about 4 years old (I hope it lasted longer). When I first bought this vehicle the item that was replaced was the compressor and I think it was replaced by the new design sinces its still good.
@@WeekendSoftRoading the issues must of carried into the 3rd generation..is honda covering the ac for 2nd gen for lifetime?
@@tracy2762 I am not sure, you would have to check with your local dealer.
Nice well done 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice 👍
Thank you!!
Nice can you tell me about the shift please because I want to do my to
The Shift knob? The link should be in the description.
Is ur crv k20 engine?
Hi, North American K24 Engine
Currently not available on amazon?
Check out the other alternatives I have listed, Especially the Walmart one as that's the most similar.
Nice setup. I noticed that, in a more recent video, you put recovery boards on the spare. Where do you store ur fuel now?
I've taken the fuel tank off for now since I don't go as far. However, I do plan to put the fuel either on the side of the vehicle using Sea Suckers or on the roof.
@@WeekendSoftRoading If you do, you should loop a wire lock through the handles and tethered it to your roof rack. Seasuckers don't prevent theft unfortunately.
@@FrshJurassicPrnceYA Yeah, Everything I have exterior of my vehicle is locked.
@@WeekendSoftRoading A wise policy. What brand do use? I've been told that thieves could cut threw the ones I use.
@@FrshJurassicPrnceYA Any lock or cable can be cut if thieves really wanted your gear.
i thik you need some more structure right behind or at least closer to the hinge
That is correct and I have made a bracket for it in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dmGMz7KBldnNmqg.htmlsi=JLrE38UNXeKT5xn1 I also have a follow up video on the awning and how its holding up.
I'm wanting to go up to Kenyon Lake with my stock CRV... You think I'd be able to make it? Thank you
Last I heard you will need a proper 4x4 vehicle with low gear. Our CRVs will not be able to handle this road. You can search for videos of this Lake as it is run by the FOUR WHEEL DRIVE ASSOCIATION OF BRITISH COLUMBIA.
What is the name of it and where to buy it?
Hi, thanks for watching! Links are in the video description.
Здравствуйте, как вы увеличили клиренс ? Поставили проставки ?
Да, я поставил распорный лифт-кит!
I just got a 2005 with a stick! I love it!
Awesome Stuff, you will enjoy the CRV
How many miles are on the CRV?
About 226,000KM which is 140,000 Miles
