    Of course the writer's of the Bible were writing from their own point of view. What OTHER POINT OF VIEW WOULD THEY OR COULD THEY WRITE FROM???? Were the writer's of the Bible supposed to write from the point of view of their enemies? Simply foolish conclusions! The Bible "isn't reliable as history" but the shit written by other cultures is? These over-educated fools are laughable and their conclusions even more biased. The writer's of the Hebrew Bible admit that their fellow tribesmen began to follow the religion of the Canaanites. That should be confirmation of historoscity - NOT a reason to anachronize these ancient people as somehow conspiring to construct an alternate history!!!

    For the first time in history, the ultimate connection between the Bible and science has been published in "The Sealed little Book: Messenger of Good News!” The Grand Unified Theory of Everything (GUT/TOE) between the Bible and science, heaven and earth! This Sealed little Book is a great mystery that has been hidden through all centuries but has been revealed by 20th century technology and science. This Messenger of Good News describes the uniform correspondence between God's Throne and the standard model of particle physics and DNA structure. This Eternal Gospel is a description of God's glory through the theory of relativity and the mass-energy relationship (E=mc²) in accordance with string theory. This Gospel of God describes in words and pictures the hidden life of Jesus the Nazarene on earth through which everything and everyone is resolved into God's Eternal Infinite Glory!

    BTW- According to the Biblical story of Abraham, Ishmael was the older brother of Isaac. Joseph was the grandson of Isaac from his son Jacob. So the so called ‘Ishmaelite’s’ would have been second and third generations from Ishmael. That is second and third cousins of Joseph and his brothers. Family and clan ties in tribal societies are strong. Generations must pass before these clans become distinct. The last thing you want to do is sell your brother to your second cousins.. Goes to show how careless were the inventors of these stories…..

    I'm pretty sure the THIRD beast was Greece (led by Alexander the Great). I've heard scholars say the fourth one could either be Rome, or a partial fulfillment by Rome because it's prophecised in Revelation the fourth beast will return during the end times.

    The ridiculousness of believers justification for the genocide by Israel of the occupiers of the promise land because of their wickedness of child sacrifice when the Jewish book allows child killings both as a sacrifice by them and directly by their god when killing the Egyptian first born. I don't think Josh's argument about Exodus 21 26-27 makes sense. 20-21 would definitely imply chattle slavery, meaning Exodus 21 covers both debt and chattle and the most recent reference before 26-27 would be the chattle, so I don't see any reason why we would assume 26-27 is now only talking about debt. Saying that we should assume its debt-only because that would make it consistent with other laws outside of biblical laws is just saying we should assume it's debt-free because it makes my argument fit. Gavin's whole point is that this passage presents something unique, so the counter-argument saying its not unique because scholars are arguing that it makes more sense to interpret it as not unique is circular. Josh is coming in with the pre-conceived idea that it can't be talking about chattle slaves because that would make it different from everything else rather than saying it looks different so maybe it is different.

    @@superha0 What would lead you to believe that 20-21 refers to chattel slaves?

  • @superha0
    @superha011 күн бұрын

    @DigitalHammurabi Well at 50:45, we get the definition for chattel to be property, and then going to the passage at Exodus 21 21, which can be seen at 58:06, the slave is referred to as property. To me that would be the most straightforward interpretation, the counter argument discussed in the video not being very good as I described previously.

    Does Exodus 20:13 apply to anyone (incuding slaves that murder and masters that murder and free men that murder) and does it matter who it is that is being murdered (debt chattel hired master free man)? I take this commandment to apply to all equally? Now the penality for such a crime is death as noted in Exodus 21:12! Again this law applies to all and for all! If this be the case then Exodus 21:20 and its punishment (not being death) makes perfect sense! If the master was murdering one then the penalty here (vs 20) would not apply as the penalty for presumption is already laid out in vs 12. So this could not be a beating in presumptuous anger of any sort. I believe as the judge who would be judging righteously would review any case of a master using presumptous force against a slave to be reviewed not under this law but under the law of vs 12. And this death would not require a master to run to a city of refuge (not because there is no one to avenge the blood of the slave though that may or may not be the case depending on whether or not this is a hebrew debt slave/chattel slave and maybe even a hired servant as opposed to a foreigner or a stranger) but rather because the master is using just force (a rod as opposed to stones or a fist as in the prior verses). Here is a hypothetical situation from the Bible itself of how a master may have to use a rod: A slave could be beating up on other slaves (like Jesus spoke in a parable of the lazy servant who began to beat up fellowservants Luke 12 I believe somewhere thereabouts but could be wrong) and so the master steps in with his rod to justly use his rod and the slave resists in a fit and bad things happen so that he/she dies. But like in our laws of law enforcement you may still be held accountable and responsible if you made some error in judgment of some sort and be sued for a wrongfull death or something (I am no expert in law but I understand that there are cases like this concerning those in authority over others and a sense of a higher standard for those who have such authority). And so I see it like this and to me this explains why there is no death to the master as it is not an abuse of force in any presumptuous way. If it were then any God fearing judge would refer the prosecutor to vs 12 and drop the case under vs 20. As far as any loss of time and money also would not apply as this is the masters hire whether debt/chattel and maybe even potentially hire. All vengeance acts would not apply here nor would a city of refuge. Now the punishment to the master (he who is to be held to a higher standard but not for any presumptuously abusive use of force and if that were to be determined he would go strait to vs 12) will be determined by the witnesses and judges as to whether or not the master could have used better caution or restraint in his use of force or tact etc etc etc. Remember, the judges were not to favor the rich nor the poor but fear God and false witness was one of the big 10! I do not believe the type of slave comes into play to much here it is rather more about holding the master to a higher standard sense he has the rod of authority over others and so then what happens when something as tragic as a death occurs "under his hands" when he has to use "a rod". CHECK this out: I wonder if the master gets flogged if he is found wanting here....see Dueteronomy 25:1-3. But forever keep in mind this is not that the slaves life in less valuable then a masters life cause the 10 commandments would apply to all and so would vs 12! This is only in the case of those in authority to be sure they are properly ruling as they are held to a higher standard. But again and again if the master is found out to be presumptously using abusive force than he is to head strait to vs 12 as anybody who murdered anybody would. Feel free to come back on me with the 30 shekels. If we can establish the above then I believe we may be able to see a similar pattern on the 30 shekels having nothing to do with the value of a freeman vs a slave but rather the value of the slave (who has no one to redeem him) to the master. The master is the redeemer sort of speak but this is in no way saying the slave is not as valuable as a free person. God bless....Now I could be wrong on all this and feel free to share why you may think I am or am not wrong. Maybe I have some good points but not all. Fair enough...God bless....I have no skin in the game: I am His slave bought by the blood of Jesus Christ and happily so...I love my master and am well off with him and I am not interested in having it any other way....My master does as He sees fit and He is a good master so I know that even when I don't get it, I get Him and so I get it. He is GOOD...God bless...I have walked 30 years with Him and can't say I have been abused once...challenged with His rod but never abused. He is that GOOD GOOD SHEPHERD that giveth His life for His. "He is the property of Jesus....you've got something better or you gotta heart of stone." - Bob Dylan from the song Property of Jesus.

    Given any unknown script how did they : 1. Make assumptions about which words were proper nouns? 2. How did they assume they were Darius or the names of Satrapies. Jumping straight to conclusions? 3. Figure out what sounds these weird scripts were making. 4. The local Iranians had thought of these kings as some other kings from Shahnamae. 5. Where did the knowledge about Satrapies and names of kings come from before the inscription was deciphered? 6. Looks like they set out to with the end in mind and ended up deciphering whatever they wanted from the beginning.
