We are Ken & Gina. in 2019 we decided to take a big leap, sell everything, buy a motorhome, and drive with our pets to Portugal to start a new life. We bought a beautiful farm in Central Portugal where we live with 3 dogs, 2 cats and a bunch of other farm animals. Every week we release new episodes of our "Portugal Farm Life" where you can get an inside look at how we live here and adapt to the challenges of our new lives.

It looks like a boog the ground is very wet it looks to be at the bottom of the valley
22°C in winter? I'm in my garden north of Toronto and today its 17°C at 1:00pm Saturday June 10. Monday's forecast is for a high of 32°C
I want this house...I love it. Please Ken send me the seller's information. I don't see it. Thanks Sandra
Boa tarde. Poderiam por tradução sempre em Português. Obrigado!
The trees are Mimosa, they are invasive and real problem as they are like giant weeds and they take over and also are fire hazard.
That looks like great value for money compared to the UK.
Ken and Gina, your land looks spectacular all groomed and mowed and bailed! I love your lawn grass area! Nice to see baby chickens! I'm going to try Ken's Mom's salad dressing❤ Thank you for the share, your grilled chicken and potatoes looks so good! Never thought to cook the potatoes under, so they get all the juicey drippings❤ brilliant idea! Juoguin is an angel !
Thanks Michele, the salad dressing is amazing! My spatchcock chicken tasted way better than it looked, burned the ends of the drumsticks, but the rest was perfection. 😁👍
Much more than 0.5 hectares….im sure you have that wrong?
It was 0.85 hectares. Feels much bigger as it's surrounded by nature and had a lot of terraces to go up and down
Good job, Ken👍
Web-er grill
I prefer Wee - burr :D
Maybe, one day you'll help me get a farm-house in Portugal
Ken, I like your videos.
Thanks dude :)
When viewing bathrooms make sure the toilet seat is down,
Why? Are you worried a toilet monster is going to crawl out and grab me? 😅
Where are the geese?
What a lovely wee house. Very nice renovation and a very good price too. Great presentation.
Is the barn part of property? Wish we could see what's behind the fence.
Nice land.
How much does that detatching and baling work cost?
I'm not sure. We let Joaquim grow grasses on our fields in the Winter and Spring to feed his flock of dairy sheep in the Summer. He does the work and feeds his sheep with the bales.
Every thing is beautiful but what a petty no build in cardboard in bedrooms that's a shame
Que bom, matar saudades de onde nascemos.Tanto que trabalhamos aí, noutros tempos desde pequenos. Fico contente em ver tudo bem tratado😊
How full is the Maratega Dam Ken?
I haven't been down there in a few weeks but it was looking very full.
Hey Ken, nice video. Did Jack get any of that good chicken? Portuguese will not ask, but it is customary to offer up some of the dinner. He's working really hard. I'm hungry just watching this. 😁
3 perguntas importantes para quem pretende comprar qualquer casa: ' tem classificação energética e qual?" Tem licença de utilização? Tem água da companhia (potável ) O registo da casa é de propriedade rústica ou urbana? Boa sorte a quem queira comprar porque comprar casa requer olhos bem abertos...
Crazy expensive
Qual é a área da quinta? Tem licença de habitação? Como é a rede de telemóveis? Água e eletricidade de companhia? Há furo? Bonita casa
What a beauty its your best house so far just move in and enjoy loved your showing and video thanks.
Vary good farm.
So beautiful i had to see this twice over .. 😍 garden is just right to setup as you please! Gorgeous
Great harvest! You could always sweep up the patch of leftover hay from the broken bale and either compost it or use it to mulch your raised beds.
Great idea!
Castello Branco. This house is in Wintertime Freezing Cold. Even with Air Conditioning. You need a Heather and Wood, Carpets from Wool on the floor. I can tell you your living in a freezer. Dispite the exelent renovation don,t underestamate Wintertime. Lived in the Algarve with an Airco that could heath and cool, can tell you the air inside was always cold and my nose was freezing. This house is to far away from everything you need.
Sounds like you had a bad time! I've lived in Castelo Branco for nearly 5 years now. We had air-conditioning with a heating function installed in our farmhouse just before the winter, and it did a fantastic job of keeping the house warm and dry. If anything we kept having to turn them down as they were getting us too warm! We did opt for really good A+++ rated ones. Perhaps the ones you had were too small for the rooms or had some technical issue? Also the city of Castelo Branco is only 25-30 minutes away from this property and has everything you could need.
ЛАЙК !!! 😊👍
There cant be much nutrition left in that! (Hay. Is grass, straw comes from growing grains different things)
That was an amazing showing i have never seen better not one stone left un turned thank you very much loved the video.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it :)
Oh yeah! Congrats for the harvast! Maybe I will need some for my chickens Ken! Ahahahah! Cheers from Lobatinhos/Pampilhosa da Serra!
Thanks 👍
Next time, tie up the legs to bring them in to avoid them overcooking.
What are the dogs guarding against is there wild animals
Yes but nothing really that dangerous. We have foxes, badgers, mongoose, genets, otters... the only thing that could hurt you are the wild boar.
140,000 😂😂😂😂 that prices buys a apartment on the biggest cities in Portugal, guys dont be fooled by sellers like this, sesrch for Portuguese people.
There are people, my friend, who do not want to live in big cities, especially the largest ones. Someone put a lot of heart into this house and it is definitely worth the money
Hi Ken. Yours is the only vlog, or whatever it's called, that I follow faithfully, and I've tried several. You take us with you, as if we're going for a walk together, and you do the everyday, but with such enthusiasm, like loving the grass, then loving seeing it turned into fodder for J's sheep. Great episode with the bailing and Olympic grade tractor work; garden looking super, dogs, cat and hens ditto; and delicious, if incinerated chicken, with Gina's salads - and Gina with her wonderful tan. Have you had your exams yet? - I love how your Portuguese is coming along. Looking forward to the next episode, all the best, N🌻
Hi Noelle, thanks for your kind words. I am really glad to hear that you have been enjoying our vlogs for all these years. Our last Portuguese exam is next month! :)
Very very very good luck!
Clever pool design
In about a year I'll be looking for a place just like this. That is the goal anyway.
You are living my dream life. A nice, peaceful farm with plenty of small animals. What else can one ask for?
that tractor is purring like a kitten
Great video love watching when it’s balling time brings back memories Thank you for sharing 😁
Awesome day on the farm. 🙂👍👍🇨🇦
Ken, have you ever herd that rake implement called a "tedder"? The action being "tedding" the hay.
Aah thanks for that... I had no idea what it was called. I searched on Google for Vintage Tedder and its exactly like Joaquims :)
More like this please 😊, have they started to take Crypto for payment yet in Portugal ?
Some sellers will accept crypto :)
looking awesome and gonna try out mums salad dressing.
Hope you enjoy
Get yourself some temperature probes. You probably overcooked the crap out of the chicken but who knows unless you can get the internal temp. In fact someone please send some to review for sponsorship dollars. The cool bluetooth remote ones. Also it's "Weber" not "Weeber" - j/k the saffa accent is cool🤣
