Baltimore is the worst in MD when it comes to this. I have met so many young people who cannot read and some can barely count. I personally thought it was a bad idea from the start. Yes they think it is a good idea to keep putting them in a higher grade.

So was that a slam on Trump? I find it so interesting that these "educated" people do not realize the Republican party was the party that was against the KKK who WAS the democratic party. Republicans wanted the African American to be able to vote watch the movie Free State of Jones

If a private pension fund had enormous unfunded liabilities like SS it would be illegal. Typical government. They make it illegal for private people to do what they do

SS and Medicare are bad policy and unconstitutional. The federal government must gradually phase them out

SCOTUS at the time of Helverin v Davis was full of Roosevelt appointees. They didn’t care what the constitution David. They were going to find the patently unconstitutional SS legislation constitutional

The fact is the social security tax takes more than 16 percent of working people’s income when you include the “employers” part of the SS tax. And it still has an 80 trillion dollar deficit. This unconstitutional program must be privatized

The tax was 1 or 2 percent when it started. There was no Medicare either. There is no cap now on the Medicare tax. Why does it have a huge unfunded liability?

  • @gopher7691

I notice they don’t propose to lower income taxes on people who would suffer if the cap is removed. No increase in benefits either. Nothing to offset the massive tax increase. What thieves

The tips belong to the restaurant, the restaurant can use them to pay a server their wages. They don’t have to pay one penny more that 7.25 an hr during a pay roll period. Or the minimum wage for that state. Server get confused and believe they work for tips when actually they don’t cause the restaurant just gives them the cash instead of a paycheck like other occupations. For instance on Monday you work 8 hrs making a total of 6$ an hr cause it’s slow , that’s less than min wage but on Saturday night u make 15$ an hr on a 4 hr shift they will not pay I more for the Monday cause u made above 7.25 an hr for the total hrs worked. Server believes they get tips only cause taxes eat the 2.13 they get a paper check for. And since they didn’t get compensation for the below min wage they made on Monday. Restaurant want to believe the lie do u work hard for tips , most restaurants in tip wage states make sever pay tip out, so basically if u get enough in tips all workers get a small bonus. They take all types of deduction from the tip money including unpaid for food and can even keep everything past the 7.25 an hr . Some restaurants even physically keeps all tips and just cuts their wait staff a paper check. As a customer I usually cash app the server and if they say I can’t do that then I just don’t tip cause I’m sure most restaurants don’t tell their staff that they are stealing tips, plus I know 25% of kiosk tips go to kiosk company. Most restaurants will not allow u to cash app a server cause they must pay so much to the company or they loose their free services from the kiosk company. Consumers need to be aware of the shady stuff that takes place cause many restaurants employees are not and don’t realize they are being scammed. If servers don’t make enough in tips the restaurant legally has to pay the 7.25 themselves. Not tipping at a restaurant in not stuffing the servers, u are just forcing the restaurant owners to t as me care of their financial responsibilities to their employees, but in order for it to have an effect it would have to be done by most customer so if u are pro tiling which I am, cash app or Venmo

In italy we don't tip. We just pay our waiters like for any other job. I mean sometimes we tip a small amount of money, like if the waiter was very very good and we were impressed. Sometimes the waiter refuses the tip because they see it as a sort of charity

I see the better worker you are the more your paid, same with woodworking, when you craft something good people will pay more, it just i deal with material and waiters deal in customer service.

I was listening to her and wondering how does the tax system know the race of those taxed? The issue is family structure not race. From what she is saying couple AB who are white and CD who are black, have the exact same jobs same pay and only one of each couple is working, the black couple would be taxed more. How??

Start with the recognition that these people are believers in government. If they weren't, they wouldn't be working for the government. Their argument about inequality being linked to declining union membership is specious. In fact, when you take into account transfer payments and taxes, the Gini coefficient in the US hasn't changed in 75 years.

My simple question is,why does inflation continously being allowed to occur in society, when wages are continously not being allowed to take place?! Corporate America is purposely, committing PRE-MEDITATED financial abuse, by applying their methods of GREED, CONTROL AND HYPOCRISY in the world....LET'S STOP THE STUPIDITY and GET RIGHT, THEN DO RIGHT, SO WE CAN LIVE RIGHT IN SOCIETY!! CREATING THE INFLATION GAME IS THE SAME MANNER THAT WHITE AMERICA HAS CREATED THE RACIAL GAME...BUT YET,THEY DON'T WANT TO TAKE BLAME,FOR THE OVERALL BREAKDOWN IN SOCIETY!
