Very interesting never seen this before
A cool car Chris
Can you do some work for me in California
For sure.. black Mustang with leather right?
Thanks. I really enjoyed this job. Such a classic chair, it was a shame they didn’t match. So I’m glad I could help
Beautiful work!
Brilliant
How did you do the color matching
The color matching is done by eye. Start with white, add drops of yellow, black and even a drop of red oxide. I’ve had 25 years of practice. But I’ll do a video here soon to give you a few of the key principles of color matching.
That is brilliant. I didn't realize they had color touchup for leather. Probably could've used that in my car😂
Been on a lot of private jets, have you?
I could have done it better
Cool. _Great_ song too.
nice patch ups look good
Can you come work on my Bugatti next
Great video very helpful 💯
Do you have a lot of leather furniture?
Well thanks for the tip that went so fast and I have no idea what you did
Let me know if you have a specific question- I’m happy to help. Send me pics of your leather and I can give you advice specific to your type of leather [email protected]
And thanks for the feedback- I hate long drawn out videos but if you think it’s too fast I can slow them down next time.
Wow it’s like reborn! Love the pattern on the back of the cushions
Thank you! 😊
Thanks. Still getting a hang of how to put it on KZread but after 30 years, the repairs part is easy.😂
Thats awesome dude! Great work!!!
It is supposed to look like a baseball glove made into a chair. 👍🏼
Why does that kind of looks like a baseball glove.
In fact, one time I worked on this exact chair in the office of the owner of the Baltimore Orioles
If you're still not sure which kind of leather you have, feel free to send me a picture at [email protected] and i'll tell you what you need to do..
Cleaned and added some color to the perforated part but customer mostly wanted me to fix the rips and cracks on the driver bolster. Her initial job request was only a picture of the driver bolster. So i focused on her request.

Wow I have the same ea
Hows the leather in yours?
@@leatherhelpguy so it has 260k miles but man it's definately way worse than the videos. If I was in Baltimore I'd have you restore the entire interior. I'm in Texas and driving back and forth from Louisiana for work.
I do about 40,000 a year in my car driving from Pennsylvania to Baltimore and DC and N. Virginia
How are you restoring the perforate seats
Benzomatic mini heat torch. Got it at Home Depot. You have to use the tip I’m using, not an open flame tip. And keep the tool moving so you don’t fry the area.
What are we looking at? Are you airbrushing or melting the plastic?
Melting the plastic very lightly

Thank you for making this video! We bought a corvette and i found a small cigarette burn and ill give this a whirl!
How'd the burn repair turn out?
@@leatherhelpguy turned out awesome!
If this works like it looks like it works, you have saved me a considerable amount of aggravation and expense. One moment of weekness and one cigarette....a burn (much larger than shown here) has the potential to cause me untold amounts of grief. Thanks for the super hero save. Hopefully this is a one and done. That 🚬 just wasn't worth it. 😉
Thanks for the video - any suggestions if I'm not really getting any fibers when using the razor blade? I was scraping pretty hard but nothing.
The rectangular blade that you peel the paper off? A new blade should easily cut fabric fibers.
Lovely video!! you saved me lots of beating 😂
Great video. Thank-you
I knew it!!!!! Thank you for proving this bet against my bf wrong!
Bloody ell that's genius!
Holy shit, a video that actually delivers and performs what the title says, no talking, no 8 minute preamble, no needless filler, just straight to the solution, here it is, 44 seconds, boom. I commend you sir, you are a bastion of what KZread should be. Thumbs up. 👍
I agree completely Josh. If only they all posted in this manner.
