Moz 42

Moz 42

I started this channel as a place to mainly show motorcycling videos of rides, roads and scenery around Far North Queensland (FNQ) Australia.
It will include segments from road trips beyond FNQ and any interesting events on the road. Note that in the twisty bits, it’s about the line more than the speed. I’m not as young as I use to be, and I don’t need the Adrenalin rush. It’s all about enjoying the ride!
I will not limit the videos to motorcycling, I’ll occasionally include videos of events, places, from my archives and general interest……..just to mix it up a little.
The inclusion of a drone, DJI Mavic Pro, will expand the variety of videos to view. I'll include places of interest and historical significance.
My channel intro and Vlog Intro videos will give you a brief history and other facts about me.
Hope you enjoy the view and find some of these videos of interest to you.

    G'day Moz. Had a Torana back in the seventies, then a sandman 308. Cool cars for a cool time. My one passion has always been, and always will be motorcycles. Owned them constantly for the last 50 odd years now and have never had a bad bike. Each bike had its own unique character and the way it made you feel about it, and thats why I love them so much. Now the most iconic movie about motorcycles has to be "Stone". That Movie was played in the drive-in in '75 in my town, and over half of the car spaces were taken up by bikes! Those were great times for a young lad with his first big road bike (Honda cb 750). Oh how times and motorcycles have changed.Cool video mate, stay safe.

    G'day Moz. Just happened across your channel, and I reckon it's great. Watching the scenery go by, I realized that you live just a few hours north of me. The "Dragon Lady" (mother in law) lives up your neck of the woods!! Thats enough of depressing talk for now! I too have recently bought a new SM650, same colour code. Just waiting on the same YSS shockies to be delivered as I also had them on my 650 Interceptor. Interceptor traded for Super Meteor. Kinda like the RE's. My girl has the upgraded wheels from Enfield fitted, as well as Metzeler Marathon Ultra white walls. Also fitted "Ranchero" saddlebags, from Ukraine of all places! Didn't come with any bullet holes in them thank christ! LOL. Verex after market cans (Tassie company) in a black colour and the sound is just perfect. A somewhat deeper tone without being harsh on the ears. Converting mine to a bobber style as I am a solo rider only. Absolutely brilliant bike that suits my disabilities perfectly. I'm 65 and I reckon this will be my last bike, maybe, possibly, we'll see! Do we ever stop looking? Looking forward to following your channel. Subscribed. Stay safe mate.

    @andyedmond248 Welcome to my channel. I'm on the Atherton Tablelands. Are you north of Townsville? Say around Cardwell, or am I way off? 🤔 😁. We're about the same age. I ride the Tablelands quite a lot and occasionally hit the coast via the Gillies Range Road. There are some great roads up here. We should catch up sometime. You'll find my email address on my channel. Flick me an email, and I'll forward my mobile number. Ride well. Cheers

    Lazy does as lazy did. NO LOCTITE ( BLUE)! Do like the shocks.

  • @Moz42
    @Moz423 күн бұрын

    Bolts Torqued up to spec. Bolts haven't moved, this is old school and works well when done correctly and is how it was done before loctite was invented. The best use of loctite is engine covers where it is important to ensure that steel bolts do not undo when bolted to alloy parts. (you can't torque these up too much without causing damage to the alloy ) This ensures the seals hold and oil leaks are prevented. I also like the shocks. Ride well. Cheers

    Thanks, Michael, Check out Twisted Moto Royal Enfield Parts on line. I paid $950, delivered. When you order they will contact you and ask for the rider's weight, including gear. They get the shocks set up for that weight before they send them to you. You can also try YSS Australia. Hope this helps. Cheers

    Koombooloomba Dam fed Kareeya Power Station which opened in 1957 and was served by workers from Cardstone village. There is a (mostly) underground pipe feeding the water to Kareeya's turbines. The last segment of pipe is near vertical, cut inside rock, and has reducing diameter pipe which speeds the water flow to the turbines. Inside Kareeya's machine room tunnel is very impressive. The village was removed in the early 90's and now is greatly regenerating back to rainforest.

    are this 23mm lengthier and yes any mods to do on front forks to smoothen handling

  • @Moz42
    @Moz42Ай бұрын

    These shocks are the same length as the standard shocks. However, they can be adjusted 10mm either way. You can purchase longer or shorter shocks if that is your requirement. For me, the front forks are just fine, and there is no need to adjust or change these. Hope this helps with your enquiry. Cheers

  • @Moz42

    If the suspension you have is working for you, then why bother upgrading. It's an expense you may not need to do. In my case, the STD shocks were giving my spine a hard time. I'm not bothering with the front forks as I believe they are doing their job just fine. Food for thought. Ride well. Cheers, Nic.
