To lock joints where I want em, I just drive a single screw right through the bone. Gotta make sure you bisect the "axle" that the bone pivots about fairly accurately. Mine's holding a MUCH heavier lantern (including 4 AA batteries) just fine without wire supports. Also, I was able to bend the spine and neck quite dramatically with a heat gun -- much easier than hollowing out and inserting PVC and looks totally natural. Thanks for sharing your techniques.

Last time a real 2 x 4 was made was around 1964... that's why homes built before 1970 will last longer than most homes made today... next time at a lumber yard see how many board look like a cork screw.

Heyy hey did you see a jump in views for this video? 👀 that was me.. yup.. I've probably watched it about 50 times at least. I been trying to put one together it's alot harder then I thought oh my goodness! But I'm about half way there trying to modify it and make a raising lid with another reindeer motor and lights inside. But finally got to the setting the motor part I think the problem is I'm making it harder then it probably is lol. Then I think I'll drylock everythin so it last a few years.

Great prop! Looking for ideas to make one of my own, yours is made from parts I have on hand, so yay! Any reason not to use 45 degree joints instead of bending the pvc? So easy to over-bend and end up with a floppy dangle... I always have spare PVC, so will likely try it both ways. Thanks for the show and tell! FYI, a standard "2x4" as sold in lumber yards and home improvement centers is actually about 1.5x3.5". Your boards are in fact, "2x4"!

hey. bending with the heat gun ended up giving me alot of freedom since I wasn't quite sure about where and how much angle. If it's wrong I can just heat it up again and bend it differently. someone else told me about the board dimensions. I feel like an idiot having that in there. lol

1st off great work. I love that you worked it out your way. I haven't finished my watching the entire video yet, but I wanted to share my thoughts with you so far. You said you weren't happy with stone... My suggestion would be make the top part that he's sitting on look thicker. So build out the front. Create a new front ( with sides)that you can slide under his legs. It could even be a cubby that a statue sits in. (Add secure it with wooden shish kabob sticks or such) Most tombstone bases aren't that big compared to the up right slab. The other option to balance out the base to back would be a urn or spray foam rocks or creeping faux plant vines. But you really did great , it is difficult modifying the skeleton 's.

I remember Toni Braxton's Unbreak My Heart and Deborah Cox's Things Just Ain't The Same Hex Hector mixes were so so so huge at the circuit parties.. 1996 to 1997... And this song of course Circuit parties was born during this time mid to late 90s..... Yes circuit parties was expensive back than but still way cheaper than now... I believe circuit parties have really died down since than
