  Putting 215 75 15 vs the stock tire gives you only 0.4 inch larger tire so it teoretically lifts your vehicle about 5 mm. Is it worth it? Why not 225 75 to give you aditional 1 full inch 27,3 -> 28,3 so 1,2 cm of groud clearance more. Why nobody mentions this size?

  tyres wider than 215, rim change is recommended. so 235/225 is still wide and anyone can use it if they want to. However 215/75-15 is the sweet spot for the upgrade.

  I am using 215/80 R15 tyres on stock rims, Hankook Dynapro AT2. No rubbing anywhere, not noisier compared to the stock tyres, no modification needed and full articulation on stock suspension set up.

  1)Hv u noticed any difference in mileage after changing to this tyre? 2)How does this react to potholes and bumps compared to the stock tyres-the ride quality. 3) How do u feel about the breaking between the 2.

  1. After changing to AT , the mileage is around 12 to 13 in highways. There is a slight reduction compared to stock tyre. 2. Upgraded tyre is handling potholes and bumps quite well in comparison with stock tyres. 3. Could not make much difference between the braking. Seems good.

  Is underbody protection needed for these offroad challenges ? As I could see in first challenge the hump did rub the undersurface of jimny.

  All of this challenges in this trail was specifically crafted by Kalyani Motors in collaboration with organizers of camp@ betathur. There were 3 places where i felt during the entire trail where the underbody got hit. In my opinion, its better to put the underbody protection before going for the first offroading.

  This is a permanent off road track and there are challenges for beginners and pro. After discussion with the organizers in camp, we can pick and choose the trail.
