Thank you so much! 🤙🏻
I'm India can i join this job
This is just like in Norway in the good old days in the1950's !!! ❤😊
poor animal. get hunting bear with free hands
how do you guys close the net on the bottom so they dont get out?
That’s what all those rings are that come up along the side of the boat-they’re attached to the bottom of the net. This video explains it a little better kzread.info/dash/bejne/mm1_lKyFlNjdj7Q.htmlsi=rUUP8jgS-qAinmY1
Great video Max, look forward to the next one!
Thanks man! 🤙🏻
That vid was ad stupas that nose ring lol
At least I can spell 😂
nice job on the kodiak island buck and was the sloan bear with cubs when she was charging
Thanks! The first bear that charged was actually a two or three year old cub, and then 15 seconds later the sow came. Where we were hunting it’s often said that a gunshot equals a dinner-bell in their mind… so it’s likely they were looking for a meal.
This is sick
Thank you!
How life up there I'll be coming this summer
Nice! Did you get a fishing job? Life is good,. The bears are out, and the salmon will be here soon.
Didn't get a job yet but still wanting to come for a landscape and wildlife
Excellent! No shortage of that up here
Im in Texas and want to experience this type of fishing. could i apply before going to Alaska? ive been a deckhand on cruise ships but never a fishing vessel
Yes absolutely. There are plenty of job listings online, or you can reach out through social media.
your video is very good. great youtube❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
@@MaxKobuk I am a girl from a beautiful river. Nice to meet you 😊😊😊
You are one of the most underrated KZreadrs out there
Hopefully if I stay consistent that’ll change 🤙🏻 thanks for watching!
Every time you post it's a good video
@@demonmuncher7992 thanks so much!
Wow i am a seiner and i pile web and i have never seen someone use a little skiff that you drove around in (not the skiff that you pull the net with)
Works pretty good in the right situation!
Max, my wife and I enjoyed your video. We fish for coho up there every September and you're fueling our stoke! Your short film has a perfect mix of nature vibes, family fun, and insane coho action. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
(滿載滿載)
Is your boat ever hiring ?
We usually have a set group of crew members that return for every season
So I’m making my breakaway set up now and that little loop with your doubled up mono that u connect the float line to, how did you make that loop stay closed with a crimp or something?? almost looks melted together when I zoom in
Yes I just double looped it and wove the second loop around the first one, and then crimped the ends together
@@MaxKobuk hey man, thanks for your quick reply. I tried making a loop by just looping one around itself but it would pull apart when I pulled with my fingers hard enough, definitely needs a crimp. So I don’t lose that fish of a lifetime.!!! Lol what island are you on?
@@user-gi7kk7by4r yes definitely crimp it! We lived on big island for about two years, and now we live back in Alaska where we’re originally from
Just got an offer to be a deck hand on a boat for king salmon season. Super excited, Turns out the guy I have been talking to about fishing here on the lake is a captain and he was like. "hey you wanna go do this for a job?" hahah yes, yes I do.
That’s awesome, good luck!
Can you get me a job? Lol
@@cadesalem3419 man I wish. I feel so fortunate. I wish we lived back in the day when a man was given a job based on his will to work. So much BS these days just to get a complete BS dead end job. Good luck brother.
both money makers and i couldn't imagine not wanting any of them
As in couldn’t imagine not wanting either a seining or tendering job?
Nice Video!
Thanks!
Thanks man it really helped 👍👍
Awesome! I’m happy to hear that 🤙🏻
In which country ican personally inspect this type of boat
USA
Woof fisherman for life
Excellent ! The weather for your shots was epic, I don’t miss the rain in SE that was the norm during my short tenure there. Your descriptions and cautions were spot on- Hat's off to you!
Thank you! Yes luckily we had a couple stretches of good weather while we were there.
Living the life
Very extraordinary fishing gear, friend, thanks for sharing your experience, this video is very useful for me...👍
Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
I mended nets for years, and I never tied a bowline when I was mending nets. And I learned from Shelly Egle. :-o
Funny how there’s lots of ways to accomplish the same thing :)
Nice job on the very informative video.
Thanks Jameson!
Nice video Max, glad to see we made it into your video with the Cricket!
Thank you! Good luck this coming season
Fabulous historic video!
Thank you!

Wow nice
sir, is your agency here in the philippines for 10 years. I have been in fishing. I hope you can help me apply there. Nothing happened to my salary. It's low here in the Philippines

Would it not be better to mend the net properly
It probably would, but when a section of net is already getting pretty worn, it’s not really worth it to reweb it. We’ll just swap out the section after the season.
how big was that set? how many lbs
Big enough to fill up 2 and a half tenders!
May I come with...?

সব যদি মানুষ খায় তবে ভাল্লুক খাবে কি,,??
I promise, the bears here are fat and happy
Mornings guy's nice
What is cost recovery fishing vs. normal season? Is there a difference? Does cost recovery affect the amount paid to the boat?
Cost Recovery is a special season at the hatchery where the hatchery allows the processors to bid on quotas, then the processor selects boat(s) to participate in cost recovery. Boats get paid a fraction of the normal price per pound, but the volume can make up for it.
What a great Knife jaw, in the Pacific in front of Ecuador, Peru and Chile there is a specie of knife jaw we call Loro (parrot) is pretty similar. love your hunting.
That’s awesome I hope I get to see them someday! Thanks for watching
How much tons did yall catch?
I got 6 more months and I'll be up there I'm 17 and live in Arizona, I don't know why but I feel drawn to Alaska ever since I was 13
Awesome = SOUTH AUSTRALIA
Хапуги ,вот почему не стало рыбы
Gr8 vid i wanted a reel and a breakaway gun all in one and u showed me some cool stuff. Im 5’8 should i go with 120 or 110? Or could i still load a 130 without a preload tab on a shaft which many dont have!
Hard to say! There’s a lot of variables. You can always get smaller bands too (thickness) or just tie them long so they aren’t as hard to pull back
@@MaxKobuk well I didnt wait on your reply and went for it! I have a 54 inch mahogany riffe competitor now, found it used and wanted one like yours and thought it was the euro but it's not. Still a nice gun just the grip is bulky plastic so not sure how it will hold up when being thrown in a boat and banged around! Looks like multiple pieces of wood stuck together. The euro is teak this is mahogany I'm not sure how good mahogany holds up or what the pros and cons are? It's also open track so I can load the shaft easy from the top by just pushing it down and back till it pops in, the shooting line is the only thing holding the shaft in place like on yours. That was a good tip you gave about being able to shoot a bent shaft with this versus the closed track style. Your video here is one of my favorite vids ever about spearguns!!! If you ever make a video again can lay out and name some of those Hawaii fish because the names you said in this Video all sound similar to me when you say them! LoL I need a Hawaii fish lesson. I was stationed there and want to come back and dive there someday. What island are you on? Thanks dude :)
