god, 4:35 is probably one of my favorite moments in all of classical music. the entire orchestra in unison-same note and rhythm. it's so angry and violent, it's honestly kind of terrifying. i can so clearly picture the horrors of war in my head when i listen to this section

I enjoy the elaborate divisis. It's interesting to try to hear the subtleties, like the solo basses at 11:49. In this respect, it's more like orchestral music than most other choral music I'm familiar with.

Nice to see the four low brass parts neat and clean in the provided score - thank you! - but arguably worthwhile to include the Contrabassoon part as well as it is part of the chorale and adds so much to the whole as one can hear.

Nice to see the four low brass parts neat and clean in the provided score - thank you! - but arguably worthwhile to include the Contrabassoon part as well as it is part of the chorale and adds so much to the whole as one can hear.
The contrabassoon part is just the tuba part down an octave or in the same octave at times. If I had remade this video today, I would have done things differently.
