Thank you, crazy skills you have. You make it look so easy, I'm sure it will take more than 15 minutes for me to staple it down and get the corners right!😂
Thanks for the video
can i use a staple gun
One inch overlap on each side with material is cutting it a little close for me. 😊
Excellent video. I do quite a bit of work like this and found that CushionCraft upholstery foam and supplies work great for these types of projects.
What depth foam do you usually use for a dining chair? Thanks so much!
Thank you! Very good, clear video!
It's really helpful I'm watching from va richmond
Where can I find the wood panel part of the seat??
Very informative easy to understand I'm just barely getting into trying to reupholster some old furniture that's at my parents house I don't like throwing stuff away so I'm trying to surprise them your video helps out a lot thank you I don't have any of the tools you're using and I got a hand stapler going to try my best
Excellent video. In your case, master is the well deserved and earned title.
Hello, I am a sofa upholsterer.
Wow! Thank you so much! I reupholstered two old chairs today and my wife is over the moon!
Wonderful. We have a very old chair which needs a new seat. I followed the instructions and în an hour my wife had a new cushion and she was very happy. And for a hubby’s DIY project that was the goal.
why are you painting the moulding?
Great job, easily explained too - Thank you from North Wales GB !
Can I use all purpose glue instead?
Great explanation! Concise into the point. 👍
Great video and well explained.
Amazing video. This guy does a better job imparting all of the important points in just a couple minutes than other guys do in 10-20.
What if there's no crown molding? How do you get a straight line without touching the ceiling?
Great video! Thank you. I splurged $40 for the arrow electric stapler. So glad I did....and I splurged $8 for an Irwin scratch awl. great tool.
What about if the plywood has the center cut out? I need stretchy webbing that goes under the foam. Do you know where I can get that?
just noticed slight tear on my kitchen chair i have no idea how it got there. any ideas?
Thank you you were very clear and concise with your instructions took time to go over every step I appreciate this can't wait to start !
How thick is that foam?
Very informative! Thank you so much! Best video so far!
Very good.
Camera man zoomed out at the worst time. Really would have liked to see the corner of the chair up close while being finished.
Great video. Our problem is removing the seat. There are no screws in the corner blocks or any where on the perimeter after we remove the dust cover There is webbing that appears to be glued to the top of the frame Our cushions are very good but the fabric is stained and we want to change it but removing the seat is puzzling and before I go further I wanted to inquire
Look real good
Wonderful video. So helpful
Great info, sadly my chair is different. It has some kind of webbing that is damaged. I will work around it and tour video has given me the courage to open it and fix it. Thank you!
great video , would love a video on how much fabric needed hate math lol
love it
You make it look so easy.
Im guessing that foam is 2 inch? I just started some dining chairs from the 50s and I think I better replace this old cotton mat. Confused on foam width.
Great detailed yet simple instruction- I could not find any videos showing how to cut the foam correctly - thank you
Much thanks for this video ...you saved me alot of headache
Thanks! Wish I would have watched this before I started but now can finish a bit better!
Great shop!
Sounds like a Virginia accent-- or maybe Canadian?
Thanks Barry. Exactly what I was looking for =)
ehh.
Never in my life have I used tape. And I'm appalled when a "painter" comes in and starts taping. Just faster, easier and cheaper to learn how to paint. Seems it's become a lost art. And this fellow is still getting some on the molding.
My hubby and I covered our dining chair seats, only 2, without taking off the old stuff. We never did it before, and used an upholstery vinyl we bought at JoAnn’s. It probably would have gone much better to take it all off before putting on the new stuff, but we’ll know better next time. 🥴 That being said it looks pretty good! But we’ll do it right next time.
What is the best stapler
Thank you
Question......I have seats just like yours and they are covered in leather, which is in great condition. I just want to change the color. I have bought a faux leather product. Can I upholster over the leather or should I remove it? I'm thinking it would be extra padding plus there are dozens and dozens of staples in the chairs now. Thank you!
No wasted words
