  Hello, I know this may be inappropriate, but I would like to share a concern. My surgeons advised me to be patient, as everything should return to normal with time. I recently had surgery for a bilateral inguinal hernia, part of which was in the scrotum and measured approximately 10 cm long by 5 cm wide. When I woke up, I noticed that the testicle on the side where the scrotal hernia was located did not seem to be in its usual place. There is a mass at the exit of the inguinal canal into the scrotum, where the exact position of the testicle is difficult to determine. Going up along the inguinal canal to the incision, I have the impression of feeling large structures, somewhat resembling subcutaneous muscles around the wrist. Today is the 15th day after the operation. I am gradually regaining my appetite and mobility, and I feel better with no pain or fever. When I put pressure on these structures, I don't feel any pain. I would like you to reassure me that these are indeed normal reactions.

  Great video. What is your view about closing the posterior wall i.e. approximating the conjoint tendon to the inguinal ligament before laying the mesh?. Besides it is also important to narrow the deep ring especially if dilated before laying the mesh. Thank you and God bless you richly.
