    I wonder if the receiver is untouched. If it is you might be able to change out the barrel. That might get it back into firing condition... The real question is if there is another defect that caused them to deactivate it in the first place.

    Field strip would only involve removing the bolt. For a deactivated you are lucky. It still cocks and clicks. In Canada, everything is welded. No cock or click and no play fun.

  • @BigLisaFan
    @BigLisaFan3 ай бұрын

    Hold the trigger down and closing the bolt prevents you having to dry fire. However, I this case it doesn’t matter. In Canada, a deactivation requires the bolt to be welded to the receiver so nothing works.

    Heating and cooling several times helps! Another option is to put the item in acetic acid for several days after heating and cooling... Attention (!), before heating a military item, make sure that it is safe from an accidental explosion, and also whether it will melt !

    *That coil is for two purposes...the first is it reinforces the front end so that the entire charge can detonate, and when it detonates that coil becomes fragmentation.* Without that coil the front of the mortar would blow open before the rear explosive had a chance to rupture the rear of the steel body/fins. Thus that coil increases the power of the explosion and the effects of more shrapnel flying in the air.

    That's a Nordenfelt machinegun round not an "elephant gun" round. Do better research if you are going to post about this stuff. Even if you didn't know what kind of round it was , simple deduction will tell you it is some typenof military round. The spire point bullet is a hugw give away. Dangerous game rifles have rounded, blunt bullets to ensure they dump all of their energy without pass through. Military rounds are 99.9% of the time spire point. Also, the fact that the primer has been removed and the case drilles are dead give aways that it has been de-miled
