The One Wheel has brought so much joy to my life. Its meeting people on the street that adds even more positive energy to the experience. Hopefully with PLAYING IN TRAFFIC, I can share my experiences wandering around and meeting all kinds of folks. Come on and play in traffic with me!!!!

If that was the clown that used to insult people I loved him I would sit there for 20 minutes listening to him and laughing back in the Late 80s early 90s
I think I worked with that guy at Dracula's castle during that time.
Hunts was the best!

Still is a hell hole, especially at night.
That's terrible.
Btw I’m the girl with the white hat and ponytail in the beginning I won that game
Amazing, thanks for saying!!!! Did you win the whole thing?
The Flyer was my first coaster! I loved the Mine Train ride, too. Now, do you remember the larger wooden coaster that was on the street side, and the Tunnel of Love that went under it with the boats that looked like Ducks??
Is that the rollercoaster that ran along schellinger ave? Then yes!! It inevitably sat next to dracula's castle and I wonder if the castle used the tunnel of love track for their dungeon ride?
I’ll be there soon. Can’t wait!
Right on!!!!
We started coming down in the v summer of 65. I was 10. Hunt's Pier was the best. Sportland Pier had the Hell Hole, but the Golden Nugget was my favorite.
😊😊😊😊 I'll go so far as to say the bat was my favorite part of the GOLDEN NUGGET ride. I loved BATMAN and thought that had something to do with him... lol... that ride was awesome!!! My parents loved it too.
Philly Wheelin in da summertime
Yessssssss!!!!!
Well done, Mikey 🥳🌊🐬
😊😊😊😊😊
Gig did NOT retire. I saw Gig and greeted him on the boardwalk on July 2. Gig is still as spry as ever!
Those pics look like the pics of my grandparents and great grandparents taken back in the 1920s. Look for faded pencil writings on the back. Also count the stars on that US flag. I don't think it has 50 stars on it. Google it. It might be WW1 vintage. You have some history there that is priceless for your family.
Wasn't Dr. Blood's House of Horrors near the Hell Hole Ride? I remember driving the go cart around Sportland Pier and getting scared from the monster's head outside the ride. I'm not sure but I think there was a carousel in the front of the pier. My grandfather was taking me to the restroom before the rides opened up. And I started crying when I saw the canvas cover covering the carousel. As a child I was afraid of almost everything. Of course a few years ago I was diagnosed with mild autism. This was in the 80's. My parents always referred to Sportland Pier as the pier that burnt down.
I vaguely remember HOUSE OF HORRORS. Actually don't remember a fire on that pier, lol. The emotions of young people experiencing the wildwood boardwalk was a Rollercoaster in itself. Thanks for sharing you memory.
Pov your my drone in r6
?
Wow
Thank y’all for sharing❣️ Your father is a lucky man!!! Sending peace, love & healing energy!!! 🙏😇💫
Awww, thank you!!!! I miss him so much and would do it all over again!!!
I can imagine , that’s been your home for so long. Happy for your new adventures in Georgia ❤.
Hunts was the best pier on the boardwalk
No doubt!!!!!
You have a nice house, Mike! I'm sure you had wonderful memories and that it is emotional to move from a place you called home for a big part of your life. I am excited for you and the Mrs ' big move. Wishing you all the best on your next journey!
Thank you so much!!!!
you don't appear to be worthy of looking through that chest.
Ouch
Lessons learned, don't wait for your dad to be gone, get him to show you what he's leaving behind. It will be educational
Well he's gone and was never one to really talk about stuff. That chest was left in my garage when him and my mother moved. Only reason I opened it was because I'm moving. My oversight was not opening it til now
so is that your grandfather or great grandfather, imagine they just close that box one last time and they dont even know they wont be opening for the next time such a good memories
My projection is its my grandfather's. Probably served in world war 2 in France around 1940 maybe he was in his mid to late 20s. My dad would have been 7 or 8.
A few blocks south of the TP bridge we used to.play on old WW 2 landing ducks on Sunday when the junkyard was closed. Two nice Gill brothers from Wissinoming drowned nearby in the 1960's. Kid from St Barts ( Jimmy Hardin ) saved a third brother from drowning. Would be nice in warm weather if they could unlock gates by Dietz & Watson and river area by Rahwn Street.
Wow!!!!
Amazing find, and very well preserved. I love looking through old family photos and heirlooms . Thanks for sharing that man
Your welcome. Gonna keep passing it along. I added my dad's Lionel trains to the chest last night
My grandfather brought a lot back. Truly haunting items
how is it i never saw this
I never really processed what was in it til today.
Sad that it is all go karts now. He did pass a really cool old soda machine.
The coke machine?
great memories-the golden nugget was the best
What a dope spot! I’ll have to get my ass down there and check it out.
Great time!!!!
Thank You for sharing this! It’s sad to see the condition of the place where I spent countless hours dancing with friends from ‘82 to ‘87. I wonder what Randy is up to Now! 🌊🐬
I'm wondering if he's still operating his record store
Where is his store? I still live close to Trenton. PS: I subbed, and will share with my #CityGardens friends 🌊🐬
@@oceansdaughter9885 I believe it was/is in Bordentown. I think its Called Randy's man cave or something
Yep! Same here..maybe 81 to ..?..85? 6? Wish I could see your writing on the bathroom wall still! Wish he had walked in the back room..that's where I met Anabella Lwin, looking incredibly bored to be there. Who is Randy? The place looks SO small now..or I gained weight lol.
@@ExpungeJohnSquareHead Hi Xtinctube 😊 Randy Now is the name of the redheaded guy who was in charge of booking bands. He did his job well, but he was not a very likable person. I was always nice to him and he took it as a come on 🤢 I actually wrote this on a white pipe in one of the stalls: “Who is this Holdsworth guy anyway?” One night, my friend Bill Holdsworth and I argued badly. I was so happy that I had a sharpie lol! I’m still very close to him and his wife; they live in Rehoboth, DE, now. I’m replying to your email right now BTW. Thank you for trusting me with your thoughts. Sending tons of love and hugs 🫂🌊🦖💕 ETA: I LOVE the name of your new channel lmaooooo!!
The parking lot where an angry crowd flipped over the van that belong to the exploited.
why were they angry?
@@ExpungeJohnSquareHead from my memory, it was the shit they were saying on stage. But I really don’t remember what. Again it was 1987 and I can’t remember what I had for breakfast yesterday. I was there videotaping and opening band. I got some of it on tape VHS tape. Of course that’s a long gone too.
@@Buckhunter66 HA..they must have said that Tren'n was a dump or something. That's pretty fk'd up though..flipping the van.. Mobs suck.
I put a link..let me know if you don't get it...
@@PandorasRocks-j6y nope no link.
I second the "Everyone loves the view of the river". Why don't you and the Philly Captain do a collab, You on the wheelie and him on his scooter. Make some interesting footage lol. Love that place.
If u dig around in his vids about 1.5 years ago we did a vid together... no scooters though... we did some goofing around on the roosevelt blvd
What a great night. Love Qveen Herby ❤
Us too!
My friends and I were there, and you were amazing!
Legacy in decay. Everyone played there- Red Hot chili peppers, nirvana, Ramones, Dead Kennedy’s, black flag, Green Day and on and on and on
saw all but Nirvana there..and have connections with some of them.
@@ExpungeJohnSquareHead 💕💕💕💕💕
omg yess!! you got me passing my purple wig to her towards the end at 26:30 <3 i love her so much and i got the wig back lolol glad she put it on the stage and didnt put it back in the crowd
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!
Killer show. She's so talented
I think I was at that show. I went to all the Hardcore shows in Philly. Almost weekly I went to City Gardens to catch a Randy Now show. Do you remember blue Horizons? They had shows once in a blue.
Saw the DEAD KENNEDYS at the BLUE HORIZON!!!!😊😊😊😊
I played a handful of gigs at city gardens
@@Mikey_Heels I was there! Frankenchrist tour. Guy jumped from the balcony and no one caught him (the crowd parted)
@@Mikey_Heels I was very familiar there. My buddy Carl worked stage (long black hair, black jacket w/American flag belt) Met Henry Rollins at a party after he performed at CG. I even remember seeing Jon Stewart (bartender) in the back
@@robcschweitzer i remember that!!! Frankenchrist tour... hellnation is one of my all time favorites!!!
I too stayed in a boarding house as a kid. It was on Magnolia (Mrs. Kliznicks boarding house. One toilet/sink per floor. Had to share with other families. Showers were outside. Three or four beds in each room. The best front porches with rocking chairs. Would sit out there and watch everyone coming off the boards at night. And of course ate dinner at Groffs every night since it was only two blocks away.
Nice, im also a punk kid. More leaning on poppunk but ive been to PLENTY of hardcore and punk shows. I knew you were cool asf lol. Also do you ever post your vids in the onewheel groups on fb?
I just upload to youtube in general.
That thing flies
20 mph top speed
I rode one night around 1am while they were doing the nww beach. It was nuts how many people were working at 1am
Night shift on the beach!!!!
@@Mikey_Heels Yeah it was really cool, super bright with all their spotlights and stuff. Just got done a 8am ride a little bit ago.
Lol 14ths street is the street i live on.
Anyone know if the Flyer still exist…in storage?
I dont know for sure, but I'd say no.... the fact that the Golden nugget tracks were used at knoebels but never a mention of the flyers tracks makes me think that.
they also had a ride that had a spinning floor we all sat in middle and as it spun you would try and make people fly off and be last one in middle
That was on Morey’s. It was called In Concert.
loved that rode it every year in 70s was a right of passage for us kids to ride and not puke lol actually saw a guy run on floor as we stuck to wall must of been a worker was so awesome
Cool, at least it didn't burn down. Funny when the volly FD had their "convention" something always caught on fire.
😯😯😯😯😯
Congratulations, and best wishes on the big move and your next journey!!
10:00😂😂😂😂😂😂
I thought u might like the testicle chat I had in my wildwood beach sunset video
Thanks for taking us on your adventure, Mike 🤘🏻
Any time!
In your opinion is the boardwalk as crowded as it was in the late 70's and early 80's? And their are probably like 40% more people now than their was back then in our country!
I dont know because I stay away from the boardwalk for the most part in season. I've seen pics through WILDWOOD365 that show it pretty crowded during the season; reminiscent of when I was a kid.
