    Great Job and well put together video. 13:16 Perhaps a better detail here would be to rip down your facia board so you could over hang your deck board by an inch. That eliminates the vertical facing seam where water can collect and acts as a nosing for the step.

    A schoolfriend of mine actually fell on the blade with his neck age 6. His parents were working near the woods and he slipped on moss and fell right onto the blade. He got a 20cm scar running down his body, one inch closer to his heart and he wouldnt have survived the incident. Brutal to say the least.

    What a freakish accident. Such negligence for a person to leave a running, unattended tablesaw, presumably on the ground, where a small person was playing.

    Great looking board but I would never go this route for a chess board. Just the cost of prep and finishing materials would be too much and let's not talk about how many total hours are required. You'd have to sell the board for $5000 just break even.

    There is marine plywood which uses poliurethanic glue and won't open like that when it receives water on it. And with a good paint it will last for ever.

    How do you deal with the Wobble in this stool? I built one from the plans and it had a really bad wobble from right to left and front to back. I added 2x2 45 deg corner braces under the seat slats and that helped a lot with the left to right wobble but it still has a really bad front to back wobble that for my use makes it kind of a fail. I really wanted to make at least 4 of these for our backyard bar area, but as bad as this one is I can't see making any more as they just seem to be unsafe for everyday use. Hopefully you have some ideas to help fix this issue as I really like the design and size of them.

    I'm not sure. Sounds like something was cut wrong! Three legs will always contact the floor. Shave off whatever one is too long or add a thin shim to it if it's too short

  • @richardrodgers1883
    @richardrodgers18833 күн бұрын

    @@SteveRamsey That is not the issue, when I finished it it was put on top of my table saw and all 4 legs were flat and even to the table top. I have checked for square at all corners and it is dead on at all points It has me totally confused. as I have made end tables almost the exact same way only shorter and they are all rock so;id. This one just rocks back and forth like it had a swivel joint on it. And just so people know , I am not knocking Your plans at all. I love your site and I have built several of your projects and had no problems at all with them. It is just this one that I can not figure out what went wrong.

    Thank you for the work you do to introduce us newbies to this satisfying hobby. I have learned so much from your work here. Quick question, admittedly unrelated to this video: Do you have a video or recommendation for an all-purpose miter saw blade? Perhaps you or other, longer-time subscribers can point me to an existing video, if it’s out there. Thank you for all that you do!

    I don't personally think that washing the cutting board with dish soap is a good idea. Since wood is hygroscopic it'll probably absorb the chemicals from the soap. I know it probably isn't very likely for the wood to catch so quick but u know, i don't want chemicals on my food. Plus if you just rinse it after every use only with water i'm pretty sure it'll be nice and clean anyway.

    Jesus Christ died for all of our sins. He died the death we all deserved. He was the perfect one who never sinned once, but he loved us so much he decided to die for us so our sins would be paid for and we can enter the Kingdom of Heaven before God the Father blamelessly. He is the living son of God who wants to know us and have a personal relationship with us. No matter what you have done no matter how far gone you think you are Jesus can and will save you. All you have to do is confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. Believe that he died on the cross for your sins and had a bodily resurrection 3 days later. We cannot be saved by our works but by faith in Christ alone. Repent and turn to Christ. You will have joy, happiness, love, and peace beyond understanding.

    Out here i never thought there was such a variety of screws, every different screw i thought it was because of being made by different companies, anyway, drywall screws to me are usefull to screw in wood because of all the screws i used (not a lot anyway 😂) are the one with a phillip head that does not deform their cross-shaped hole (and if i say this that mean that i usually use very low quality screws aparently...) but at least i am able to remove the screw or push them further in the wood more easily, they also slip less👍
