    I love how both points are completely right, House made the right choice in leaving Stacy because in the end both of them would end up hurt, this was nothing more than some rekindling of a fantastical love that can't last, House is right yet Wilson can so easily look further within and confront the idea that House is so comfortable in his misery, he doesn't give himself chances and the biggest example of House not choosing to take the risk of being happy is with Dominika, she was really willing to love House as he was but he doesn't have the will to try and be happy

  • @2EKgn16

    She was incredibly selfish which makes her no better than House in that regard. I wish her husband had left her because clearly they had problems before House came back on her life and clearly she wasn't fully invested as he was. Its not just House that wants to be miserable. People settle too damn much.

    He probably wanted the relationship he used to have with her spark up again, but ultimately realised that he wouldn't be able to have such a relationship with her because of his chronic pain and they'd eventually become an unhappy couple again because Stacy loves house and house loved Stacy but never forgave her what she chose to do with his leg.

    What pissed me off is that House spent SO much time homewrecking the marriage, then when he FINALLY got a chance to be happy, he doesn't take it?

    That's the point, he's not a very good person and he's bad at interpersonal relationships. The whole point is that was really shitty and then finally got what he wanted and he turned it down. That point is how pointless it is.

    Let me just put this out there. I hated Stacy so fucking much. She was just, ungh. She was married, cheated, and then she was going to leave him to go back to House after she had left him. After she had decided for him against his wishes... It's like the cycle repeating itself, just with someone else. Stacy should've only been there for Mark to be healed and then left... I hated her the entire time she was on.

  • @MinosML
    @MinosML Жыл бұрын

    He was sure the problem in his leg was due to something extremely rare and wanted a treatment that would kill him if he was wrong, she was scared and against it and when he was in a induced coma she was conviced by Cuddy to authorice giving him a different treatment that wasn't as dangerous, but left him with his limp and extreme pain in the leg all the time. He was then, understandably bitter and slowly became the cynical bastard we get to know in the series, he probably started treating her like crap by then so she left.

    They lasted five years living together just before he suffered that life changing injury. How could they have lasted that long if House really was an ass beyond redemption? The injury had changed him over the years but he seemed happy and light in the episodes during which they had rekindled their relationship which lasted until Mark showed up and it guilt tripped House. He loathes his miserable self to such an extent that he thinks he cannot undo the damage of his persona. His misery makes him feel undeserving of happiness and he pushes people away. Almost vicious cycle of misery he can't escape due to his self loathing. He thinks he'll lose the minimum thing he is left with, his intelligence, if he steps out and hopes for happiness. Even if this were the reason of leaving her, he cared about Stacy's long term happiness more than his, this is the definition of selfless love. House wasn't as big an ass as he thought he was.

    it is so sad seeing house always destryoing situiations for himself and staying in the misery..I know part of the show is his misery and the show never permitted house to be happy for long , I just think its sad and with my love for this character I think maybe they could have made him happier and still left the unique , too honest and fun side of him ,its just sometimes annyoing like for example SPOILER ALERT when he got together with cuddy and destoryed it and threw a car into her home , I mean I also think she shouldnt have left himbut still really sick of him , or I loved his realtionship with Lydia and when he stayed in the psychatric hospital and you really think he changed a bit but 1 season later he is exactly as miserable and fucked up as before , I loved the finale, but think its sad that his character development always gets build up and then ripped away
