Unfortunately there is no news yet from Apple. They're investigating possibilities to make it work, but it seems to be a bit slow-paced there. :-(

The Analog Mode is only available in SmartRace for Carrera Digital, not in SmartRace for SCX Advance. Hope this helps.

I have SmartRace up and running on my 1/64th 3-lane 3x6' Viper Scale Racing track. I somehow thought I had to purchase the subscription to get analog mode working, but ok, I already paid so I'll do that for year 1, IDK how I missed that i just needed the $11 and $4 add on, didn't see that option in the app when I was getting it all setup. (yet I see it here in your pinned comment) I want to free up my main iPhone that's currently being used for the sensor, connecting to an iPad Mini I am using for the server and race control etc. I really want just a cheap phone with enough power to be the sensor and send the data to the server, with magsafe QI charging so I can lock it onto the charger stand, have it anchored nicely and angle it etc. What is the cheapest used phone I can get away with for this? hoping for something in the $50 range if possible.

I can't really give you a very qualified opinion on which device you should get. What I can tell you is that I use a Samsung Galaxy S8 with no problems with up to 6 lanes. I don't think you can get it for $50 yet, but maybe not too far off. But I'm sure there are many cheaper devices which will also work without any problem. I just can't point you to a specific one. I'm sorry. 😞

hello! I am excited about this analog mode for use on an 1/64th scale 3 lane routed VIPER SCALE RACING track I have. it's a small track, 3'x6' with only 3 lanes, HO spacing. I run cars from Aurora TJETS, AFX, G+, SuperG+ Mega G, Mega G+ Viper, DASH, AW, etc. my question is, I have only an iPhone 14 pro max and a Steam Deck that I could use for this at this time. Can I run the SmartRace server on the Steam Deck and the SmartRace connect on the iPhone?

Why is it when I drive out of the pit stop smartrace will often continue to think I am in the pits? This get annoying when you try to use the weather and change tyres because you end up changeing tyres when you didn't want to . Does anyone have a fix for this or know why it happens sometimes?

Hallo Ohne SmartRace könnte ich es mir gar nicht mehr vorstellen. Eine ganz tolle App, die immer besser wird. Eine Sache fehlt mir oder ich verstehe sie nicht ganz. Zuletzt konnte man beim Fahrzeug-Tuning ganz leicht mittels ALLE-Balken einen Wert zuordnen zB Geschwindigkeit 75%. Das finde ich nicht mehr. Oft haben wir vor dem Rennen den Tank für zB auf 30% gestellt. Geht das noch? Kann man das noch integrieren im neuen Style? Ganz liebe Grüße aus dem Innviertel

Danke für die netten Worte! :-) Aktuell ist nicht geplant, den "alle"-Schieberegler wieder einzubauen. Dadurch, dass kein Speichern mehr nötig ist, sollte man auch ohne ganz gut und schnell zum Ziel kommen. Sollten sich aber noch mehr Nutzer beschweren, denke ich natürlich darüber nach. 👍

Hi, I'm using this application on an H0 scale analog AFX layout and it works well. In this latest version, the configuration of the main screen is much more complex, although much more beautiful. Assigning cars and drivers is now simpler. The inclusion of new manufacturers in the car database was very welcome (AFX, Tyco, Aurora, etc.), although there are still some missing such as Bauer, AW autoworld and AMRac as an example. In car brands I would also like to see Shelby! Great application, many congratulations and continued excellent work.

Overall, happy with the changes. Like being able to customise the screens more. Had a wierd thing happen. When not on-line with the CU, I went to change a driver and lost my car database. Worked out fine because I wanted to start from scratch.

Thanks for all your efforts providing a great app for slot car racing. Not sure if this update has a new set of compatibility requirements but I did notice the app having trouble working on my iPad Air that I typically use. Thankfully I creat backups periodically to view stats when I’m away from my track so I didn’t loose anything but curious if you have had feedback on comparability issues. The app appears to open and then just disappears. If I double click the home button I see that the app has been opened but I when selected it again flashes as if to open and then disappears. I appreciate your feedback.

Hi Daniel, I assume you're using iOS 12. There is currently an issue on this version of iOS which causes the app to crash. I already prepared a bugfix and hope it will be available later tonight. Sorry for the trouble.

Yes it’s version 12. Thank you for the prompt response and resolution. Looking forward to getting to know the new features better. On another note, is there a setting to call out each lap time? This is helpful for testing and tuning and helps focus on the drive for consistent laps. The new feature of increasing the size of the widgets may be my favorite. Hey Marc. It's great to see a new update for Smartrace. Everything that you've done from the widget, templates and assignments are awesome. The ability to move, resize and change colors on the race screen is really cool. Smartrace just continues to be more advanced and user friendly. I think 6.0 works only with M processor based Macs so if you have something older that might be the issue. Time to upgrade :)

Previously when using weather and changing to wet tires cars speed would be set to maximum after changing to wets and they would be undriveable. Has this been fixed or is it a setting that im missing? Right now we dont race with weather on because of this. We would really like to enjoy the weather feature.

This is helpful for testing and tuning and helps focus on the drive for consistent laps. The new feature of increasing the size of the widgets may be my favorite. Hey Marc. It's great to see a new update for Smartrace. Everything that you've done from the widget, templates and assignments are awesome. The ability to move, resize and change colors on the race screen is really cool. Smartrace just continues to be more advanced and user friendly. I also like the toggle to switch between controller colors and car colors. Thank you for everything that you've done to help make this hobby more enjoyable. 🙂

Leider gibt es aktuell Problem mit der Veröffentlichung von SmartRace 6.0 für macOS. Ich stehe dazu in Kontakt mit Apple und hoffe, dass das Problem bald behoben sein wird.

Vielen Dank für deine Arbeit und dass ich als Beta-Tester teilnehmen durfte. Ich glaube die Neuerungen sind wirklich gut geworden und haben die App einen guten Schritt Richtung Zukunft gepushed. Gleiches Problem habe ich auch.🙈 Habe immer mein altes IPad an der Bahn.
Ein Hotfix ist schon unterwegs und wird hoffentlich noch heute Abend von Apple freigegeben. Sorry!

My macbook pro only finds version 5.7.4 . Is it not available yet for MacBook Pro ?
I think 6.0 works only with M processor based Macs so if you have something older that might be the issue. Time to upgrade :)

Previously when using weather and changing to wet tires cars speed would be set to maximum after changing to wets and they would be undriveable. Has this been fixed or is it a setting that im missing? Right now we dont race with weather on because of this. We would really like to enjoy the weather feature.
Contact Marc for help on your Weather settings. This is not how it works for me so I think you need to make some adjustments.
