Leave the clicker on when the fish is running so the captain can be doing something else and others on the boat know when the fish is running. Example. (Clickers off getting dumped) Captain is getting around swim hook- mate is clearing the deck. No one knows the fish is dumping or maybe just don’t know how how fast. 100 seconds go by and the guy on the rod is like um guys we are about to get spooled.. captain and mate are like what the heck why didn’t you say something blah blah but if the clicker was on and the crew knows that clicker pitch and speed maybe they would have noticed hey that’s fast and long, let’s start chasing.) one example of like 100 of why the clicker is there 🤘🫡

Have you ever long casted from the beach for sharks with a conventional reel? If so, what is the largest mono that gets it done and casts 100 yds as top shot?I am spooling up an avet hxj 5/2 magic cast raptor with braid backing.

Nah we don’t need to long cast here 20-50 yards for our gut to catch them on cast out! 🤘

i just got a shark reel and was wondering if you have to have the clamps attaching the rod and reel toghter or if you did not need them? i love yor chanel btw!!!!

We use the reel clamp that goes on the reel foot for sure always. But some reels have like extra bracing on the front and back- that is not needed

Years ago there our 120 lbs of fresh tuna frozen got it back 40 hrs later . Landed in Nashville an our fish was in Dallas. American airlines. Re froze an 75 percent was mushy shit. No reimbursement from airline . Tough shit but we caught their ass on a kite.
