Was wondering what do you do if your patient can only slide their lower jaw a few mm past their maxillary anteriors? Is this normal? Guy is a boxer with a hx of bruxism. Limited opening as well. Thanks.

Hey doc thanks for the video it sounds like a splint could be a temporary solution? Was wondering if corrections to the actual teeth and bite are the way to go for the long haul. I’ve been watching a bunch of dr. nick yiannios videos out of Arkansas and he’s been doing a treatment called DMR. Do you perform this treatment as well and why or why not? Thank you

I've been using this "no-mask" since 2006 - every night. Never going back to anything else. Works great for me.

I can't stand a mask, period! But I sleep with my mouth open. So I can't see how this month piece will work? Sooner or later the mouth piece gets loose and air is leaking out of my mouth.

@jamison spencer . I want to make the TMJ board, like the one you are using, for a project. Would you help me create one?

Dr Jamison, Thanks for the great video. I have attempted in some patients but george gauze doesn’t cover the teeth even the wide one. it seems narrow than the arch. Where can i be going wrong, can you suggest.

@theIchosenIone Splint therapy is really the only way to treat this condition...but the condition only needs to be treated if it's bothering you or getting worse, or if you're under 25 (in which case it may be cured through splint therapy...the younger the better). The problem with other non-dental therapies is that the teeth dictate where the jaw joint goes, so even if the therapy helps, the problem will typically come back rapidly.

This looks very much like my condition, it started randomly few years ago and it only clicks on the right side of my jaw, a bowen therapist in Australia asked me if I wanted him to align it for me but i never got it done and now i no longer live there, is there any other methods of aligning it apart from the "bowen therapy" and the dental splints?? thank you
