Is Joe an ass? Yes. But I disagree with quite a bit here. 1 as much as everyone would like to think this is an authentic show, it's still reality TV so things are played up for the sake of viewership. 2 you don't need to be a chef to be understand food. You don't need to go to culinary school either. Food critics aren't all chefs with Michelin stars. Having a refined palate and knowledge in food is enough to be a good judge. A prime example being episode 243 of Iron Chef (the original in Japan). A famous sommelier (Shinya Tasaki) who wasn't a trained chef, went on and beat Chef Kobe due to his excellent palate, understanding how to pair flavors and textures. 3 to be completely fair to Joe with the Christine part, he isn't incorrect. A blind person in a busy kitchen, that isn't used to working in one around people that are also not used to working in one, can be dangerous. Was his comment pretty mean? Yes but it is a legitimate concern. And to add to it, he stated numerous times in the rest of the season he was wrong for doubting her. 4 making those comments while getting a manicure and whatever else doesn't make someone sexist or racist especially when those statements were scripted. Were they in poor taste? Yes but I guarantee you almost every single person on this planet has made a comment that's in poor taste at some point. Cultures are also different too. What we find offensive in the US may be totally normal in a different part of the world. Our social norms aren't the one true way and everyone needs to follow them. Again I do think Joe is an ass but to completely discredit the guy because "he isn't a chef!" and then try to pile on as many other accusations as possible while using clips from a reality TV show as proof is pretty nuts to me. In my eyes this falls heavily into the realm of - I don't like this person so I'm going to try to dig up anything I can to show why other shouldn't like him either.

I believe my personal opinion that Joe B is No Chef. He compare’s his taste of food to his Famous Mother who is a Fantastic Chef. So how did he get to be a Judge on Master Chef?

I recently resaw this season for the first time, and tbh I think the talent is very overrated on this season. A lot of mistakes from some chefs. Of course the season also gave us Dave, Kevin, Ariel and Tenile
