  Glad you liked it, it was refreshing to go for a walk at that time of the morning, it's very nice there just after sunrise. Although the camera didn't pick it up, there were people swimming there at the south end of the beach. It was 13 degrees but the water temp was 19, so it was warmer in the water than out, that's my fun fact for the day, hope you are well and enjoy the weekend coming up 🙂

  This is a fantastic video of Coogee Beach in winter under a dark, cloudy sky threatening with a thunderstorm. The beach deserted but for a couple of seagulls. And the sound of the surf breaking on the rocks or rushing in on to the sand of the beach. It gives me a feeling of the endless aeons of time this same scenery was there even before any man existed to watch it. Maybe this sounds a bit melodramatic, but it’s exactly what I felt. Thank you for this terrific video!

  Thanks Rolf, your comment made me think as in the thought of going back a hundred thousand years ago and standing on that very beach, now that really would have been something, one can only imagine. I filmed this not long after sunrise, some of the street lights were still on, such a different atmosphere at that time, happy to hear you enjoyed it 🙂

  HELLO. I finally purchased the Panasonic VX1 4K Ultra HD Camcorder (HC-VX1EG-K). My first impressions are that the zoom performance and daytime shots are very good. However, night shooting doesn't seem to meet my expectations. In some comments, it was said that this camera has the feature of pausing and resuming the video without stopping. But I couldn't do it anyway. I need information on how it is done.

  Congratulations on your purchase, I'm sure the good points of this camera will outweigh the not so good points. Once you have pressed the record button, press it again and it will indicate pause on the led screen. In saying that, when you resume the recording, I found out it will make a separate video which suits me as I then don't have to split the video in my editing software. There may be a setting which will make it a continuous video but I'm not sure, the cameras I have used don't seem to have that function. I have yet to test it fully at night or in low light conditions but there are a whole lot of "Scenes" you can set it to, one being night scenes and the other is low light scene. I guess you could also adjust it manually to suit a low light scene but I haven't learnt how to do that. You could search KZread by typing in Panasonic HC-VX1 low light test and something may come up.

  That's a good question and well worth considering, it's just a matter of finding the time and an assortment of locations to do it. I am very busy at the moment but it's a great idea and hopefully I will get a chance to do it, maybe within the next couple of months, I'll see how I go. Thanks for the suggestion.

  You're right there, it would have been nice out on a boat that day. I remember years ago, the water was right up to the Darley road fence, that was after five or six days of sustained rain. Glad you liked it 🙂

  Good old Centennial Park all flooded to the enjoyment of the ducks and other aquatic birds. Some ways just ending up at the water. But it is a beautiful, peaceful scenery all the same with the exception of the eagerly rushing water at the beginning as a counterpoint. Very nice video!🙂

  Thanks Rolf, it was good walking around there with all that water on display, the bird life certainly weren't complaining. Very well put with the opening scene acting as a counterpoint, I'm glad I filmed that part. It was certainly very peaceful over there at that time of the morning, a great escape for many people.
