  I think Ryo crashes so much because of rubber banding. Game pushes him too much, to the point where it causes conflicts between AI and physics. I played with some mods that increase difficulty and AI racers would crash all the time because game attempts to make them pass 90° turns at 200km/h. They'd also wiggle out of control, probably because their car can't handle the acceleration.
