  my house does not have three-phase. it only uses 3 wires... L and N and ground. I would like to know how I could connect the three-phase WEM3080T model to a normal photovoltaic system with 2 wires L and N and earth.

  Yes, the 3phase meter also supports split-phase usage.It means you can take it as three single-phase energy meters . So if your solar pv and grid are both single-phase , one 3phase energy meter(WEM3080T) will meet your requiremetns. www.iammeter.com/applications/solar-pv-system-monitoring

  Hi, there is much serial communication software,just select the one you used. There is no specific cable requirement for the RS485 communication(because the communication rate is not high), just keep it not too long.

  @@iammeter So the hardware itself supports dual tariff? The signal for the 2nd tariff comes from the electrical provider. When the signal is ON the meter should switch to 2nd tariff, when it's off it should switch back to the 1st tariff.

  hi there . i have one of your single phase meter and I have used for over 6 months so far and all good. But by mistake I have chage in settings from single phase in three phase and now i can't go back on single phase. i have lost all my info? can you help me to reconnected how was been before?   I installed this now and it’s not showing real time values. I can put the microwave on for 2 minutes and it’s not showing that kw increase in the graph so it’s inaccurate for sizing a solar system

  if it can not show the power reading value before and after the microwave opens, it should be a mistake in installation or understanding. This is not an "inaccurate " problem, but a question about how to use this energy meter properly. The energy meter can judge the 2w difference. Please check whether you have clamped the CT in the right wire.(the most possible case) If it is 3 phase energy meter, please check whether you installed it in wrong phase mismatch.   @@iammeter thanks, it pics up the geyser as it's on for much longer. I've connected the effegy meter also to see the difference in readings between the 2 What and there's a definite difference. It's a single phase installation. What other information do you require?

  Be aware of a correction, on the sensor definition, address = offset , not to the real address. So if address(offset)=0 and type =holding register, then the read register will be 4001

  I can understand your meaning entirely. We have not strictly complied with the Modbus protocol to define the register`s address. which just uses an absolute address, not an offset address from the address that the function code 04 should be.

  Hi, there is no comparison between JSON API and Modbus TCP. They are just for different customers. If your project had already use the JSON API and it indeed meet your requirements, you do not need to switch to modbus TCP. But most industrial system such as DCS, ICS,SCADA only support modbus TCP in it. So we want to expand our energy meter to this field, so we upgrade our product to support modbus TCP .

  Install our energy meter on the inverter side, it will get the power and yield energy of the inverter output. This is enough for analyze your solar pv system in nodered or home assistant. But please note, it can not get the running status of the inverter like the inverter manufacturer`s own portal system.

  Hi,it is easier to compare in this way. For example, when you have two solar sites, you can compare their efficiency in this chart. Both sites installed in the same place should have nearly the same solar pv efficiency, if one efficiency is obviously lower than another, you need to consider the possible problem.（pannel, inverter or installlation）.

  There is a Github link in this video, you can get more information there(github link). The HA is used to calculate the kwh/period and calculate the kwh difference(such as self consumption kwh) Only influxDB and grafana can not do this calculation.
