This is a very worrying change. Flintshire has so much litter around because of their poor recycling rules. You know when you're in Flintshire just by the amount of waste and rubbish on the streets. Really hope the frequent recycling pick up will keep this under control.

After deciding to retire last August at the age of 63, my stepdaughter informed me that my Granddaughters school had been screaming out for a "Lollipop man" for several years after the previous one had retired! The process through our County Council was painfully slow. But i was determined to help the school. I began (finally) in February 2024. 6 weeks in and i cannot express my enjoyment of the job! The children are a joy and are teaching the parents about safe crossing. I hear them shout out, "we need to cross at the lollipop man!" Luckily, i can spare the time to ensure that they have a safe crossing point to get to & leave school. I'm serving my community. What better satisfaction can i get?😍😍

Absolute joke. There is nothing wrong with the simpler system currently in place, yet you’re still wasting millions of pounds of taxpayer money on this while simultaneously cutting school budgets. Absolute disgrace.

I blame most haunted, once they had been there they put the place out there for all to see and visit. Wasnt long after the great denbigh hospital hall was torched and the rest followed to what it is now. So well done most haunted and well done to denbigh council for allowing the show to go ahead.

Unfortunately for you and you're figures on new jobs and the local economy, the UK's biggest policy research unit estimates that tourism provided Rhyl with 1,900 jobs in 2007 which went down to 1,600 jobs in 2011. The 2011 estimates are due in June, and I can guess which way they're going. Denbighshire withdrew its name from the studies from Sheffield Hallam University because they didn't like the facts, preferring to make their own up. You can't create a new seaside promenade by committee, I'm afraid. You described the Drift Park as ambitious, as well. And when did that open? 2007.

Went there today with my son to take some photographs for his GCSE coursework. It's in a serious state of disrepair and hard to imagine how such a vast complex could be utilised, but then it still had the 'voices' of its past inhabitants somehow; quite eerie but quite magnificent too. I hope it can be saved for posterity.

It's refreshing to hear that Denbighshire's Chief Executive welcomes constructive debate regarding the hard financial decisions that effect us all. Getting the community to buy into the decisions early and feeling they can actually influence what's important to them is a real positive. It would have been nice if you went on to explain which social media outlet you're planning to use and if and when Denbighshire will be starting the debate? Resident of Dyserth.
