    I don't know if you'll even see this comment, but my wife has one of these Captivas and she's got an interesting problem. Her system will only blow cold air regardless of temperature setting and the air only comes out of the four dash vents, even when the knob is set to the window defroster setting. If it were just one or the other of these problems I'd suspect that either the mode door actuator or blend door actuator went bad (as often happened in her old Impala), but both problems appearing at the same exact time leads me to believe it's something electrical. I have checked the fuses and even disconnected the battery to see if it was some sort of system glitch that could be reset that way. Would replacing this panel be the next logical thing to do and see if it works?

    sounds like a stucked blend door Actuator, plastic blend door actuator doesn’t last long. Can you see the blend door move back and forth?

    What's the point of cutting everything that involves doing anything out and fwd to it being done already? Here's a tip. Edit this and just fast fwd to the dash cluster and tell us the jobs done so we don't have to experience that excruciatingly annoying audio. It was hell. And you didn't show shit that was worth shit. Sorry I'm not usually an ahole but that audio....damnit it pisses me off just thinkin I just sat through it. Thanks guy.

    Thanks for showing the kick panel access to the relay. I couldn't see it by removing the bottom dash cover and looking behind the fuse box. I'll take that fuse out and check it with a meter too because it looked good visually.

    This video was incredibly helpful. All the fuses were good but my car's biggest problem was the cabin filter. It's currently 6/24 and that filter had never been changed. It was as bad/dirty as you can imagine! I also replaced the AC climate control, but the cool air did not start flowing through until I replaced the filter. Mind you, I had had that climate control unit changed in 2018 and clearly the mechanic didn't bother to change the filter back then. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thank you for this video. You saved me hundreds of dollars.

    Hi John, what the reason to replace the climate control? I got a Captiva 2012, not activation signal to the compressor clutch relay. Can I just replace the same?

  • @johnrichiequillopo5765
    @johnrichiequillopo5765Ай бұрын

    Check the A/C Compressor Relay, A/C fuse, and the A/C pressure switch, if the Relay and fuse and A/C pressure switch are good, then need to reset A/C Climate control before replacing the Climate Control.
