Out of curiosity SCXCR, did you know about the Forbidden Ring you receive from the first quest with Daena? Where you meet Gaeus? It sorta circumnavigates the problem with EXP crystals. When equipped to your character, all party members will receive the same EXP as your character does. It makes it easier to level up pets and the secondary characters. Only issue is trying to grab all the crystals before the AI companions grab them. Once I figured this out, I never changed the accessories again. Just obtained the Forbidden Ring and kept it for the rest if the game.

Holy shit that ad for the game triggered a flashback of the only time I had ever seen this game back in the day - on an advert VHS I got from some flea market around a year or two post the game's release. That's definitely something I straight up forgot existed at one point in time - commercially sold advert VHS. Goddamn I feel ancient.

This game has very little to do with Mana. You're just some silent busybody who inserts himself/herself into other peoples' affairs. The customization system is convoluted and the fights are way too easy. You could stun lock and slap end game bosses no problem.

Melee attacks can drain the charge gauge by 25-50%. Mix the weak melee with a strong melee attack. I thought the story was pretty good for what it is, you just have to trigger the dialogue and finish the game twice with each character for each ending and story path.

I played through the series recently after watching this vid wondering if maybe some of the plot details were just kinda hidden there and thats why Matt McMuscles got it wrong. Nope, its all pretty much out there in the open in game or in the manual. I have no ideal how that was missed.

When I played the Demo, the only bugs I have encountered is that some collectibles were not counting as "collected" (destroyable barrels & chests), but it was fixed with a patch. I have not encountered any sound issues whatsoever. And of course, there are some optimization issues. What I find amazing is that if I think about it... it is probably the best demo out of all demos out there. Defiantly the best I have ever played. It feels like its own separate mini-game. It gets even more impressive once you realize that the team behind it is quite small & it was their "hobby project" that they did in their free time. Once you beat the Demo, the weird begging makes a lot of sense. It is a shame that Kickstarter got cancelled though. I hope this game will get made at some point.

Bloody roar 3 is my jam. One of my favorite games of all time. A story I would like to share involves an ex friend of mine (we just drifted apart it's all good) where we would play each other constantly because we both loved the game. I am a huge long fan and he is a huge shenlong fan. We would have constant tiger fights. One time during character select without trying we had the names of the characters sync up perfectly to make the announcer say shlong. One of the best gaming moments of my life.

If it's any consolation, the game has since been re-released on Steam (for a mere $6), and after 200 hours of playtime from me, I've yet to have any dropped inputs. I can safely say it's the definitive version of the game.

thats the thing i like about EQ 2, i quit it for the longest time and came back as a new character, guild let me in under level 50, they always offered to help if i was attempting to battle an epic +4 boss solo(lowering your level would just lower the amount of exp you get, rather than phase out all exp if you fight a mob too low).. Going to old zones while gear wise is useless, but achievement and trophy wise it makes it fun
