For really it was a difficult for me to create a press release but for that information real THANKS
So, JN Shapiro was making watches before Roland G. Murphy in Pennsylvania?
As a hobbyist watchmaker, I find this very fascinating. Weiss and RGM also make nearly from scratch watches in the USA as well. So I am not sure JNS is the first. Like them, I do not believe they make their jewels or springs either. I know Weiss attempted to get a "Made in the USA" classification for his 1003 movement and it was denied because they import the springs and jewels. I assume JSN is hitting the same roadblock, sadly. Great video!
Thanks for the question, both Weiss and RGM use many components from the Swiss made eta 6498. Our Jewels are US made . The FTC asks for virtually all components in a watch movement. If someone asked the FTC to investigate our movement we feel we could defend the US made label as surely as Hamilton or Waltham did. They were using Swiss made jewels fyi.
@@joshuashapiro2127 Thanks for reaching out and thanks for helping bring back American watch manufacturing. I think you should apply for a “Made in the USA” label. I would be proud on your behalf. Best of luck with your endeavor!
Thanks! Yes, we already put US made on our watch movements. Anyone could put US made on any product. The only enforcement of that label comes if someone complains to the FTC. This happened with Shinola and others.
Very interesting to see the mix of legacy manual machines and CNC technology. Truly a work of art
Go Josh! Well done mate.
Used similar machines for electric contacts (sockets)
How strong are those welds?
Incredibly strong. Don't be misled by the lack of arc or visible heat. The amount of kinetic energy generated through the process very effectively melts and melds the metals.
Hello, I am a Swiss-type automatic lathe processing factory from Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. The factory has 80 Swiss-type automatic lathes and performs external processing. If you have product orders that need to be shipped, you can contact me. Thank you so much.
thank you
👌👌
Very brief and concise 😊thanks so much.
VEREY INTERESTING THANKS .
I have nothing to do with CNC..but enjoy viewing. How in the world do you cost out the products??!
Great to see a beautiful Hurco machine in this shop! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this video
Are they machining stainless steel part in this video?
John!!! Great to see you on here. Hope all is well
👏
Newest and biggest machine in the back of the shop? Guys magician or has some hidden doors. Regardless bravo, very well done setup!
Awesome shop and awesome life😎👍🏼
I used to run those machines I sure miss them
love from turkey... you're the king!
I always knew CNC machines can friction weld, I've seen it happen accidentally!
Basically every conversation between an engineer and a salesman sounds roughly like this one.
What type of oil is used in this machine?
Thank you for the tour of your shop. It would be fascinating to revisit in a few years, especially since you've just begun implementing robots for parts feeding. Considering the high volumes observed, it seems feasible that you could achieve lights-out manufacturing for many of those smaller components.
Is this the guy who had the video on Instagram of opening the garage fridge and cracking the corona? My dream right here
Wow, the human behind the robots.
Thanks for the insights, I'm going to write my first press release with your blessings. 🙏🙏😇
Looks like you have a big garage.
This dude is speaking my language.
That machine is lovely
That is really nice to see a company doing this. It will definitely pay dividends especially in something as specialized as mold-making.
Wow, I didn't know anyone made such complex de-burring machines. That is some cool engineering.
Nice shop. What model Hermle is that?
Nice shops, I really like how the have their paint/powder-coat facility setup.
Great set up mate 👌 best of luck witt everything thanks for sharing 👍
Save this guys name, sheeshhhh
Muchas gracias por esta entrevista. Thank you
How do you get the work?
I'm a machinist apprentice and this looks like something I hope my future will look like
Hiring as luttle people as possible is a key to success in a machine shop. I agree with that. Unless you plan to hire those kid of yours. 😝
I am still waiting for an American to show his own machine tool factory that uses it's own ORIGINAL machine tools to make DUPLICATE MACHINE TOOL COPIES from it's own machine tools.
3:49 What the ERP software program name that you used ?
Thank you for the video. I think this video would have been better if pictures of the actual chip was presented along side the video of its formation.
👍👏
Holy crap that’s a huge stone!
So cool! Such a great shop and family!
Sept 25, 2023 Thank you Dan for sharing I'm also planning to start my dream shop, I'm 28 years old and been in this industry for almost 9 years. i have experience in Industrial, Semi-Precision and toolings and in Machine Designing. This week I've decided to quit my Job as a all around machinist, CAD Drafter and Designer and as Sales Coordinator and start focusing on building my own machine shop together with my partner in life who supports me in everything. i love you always Rinoa Jill. Wish me luck and God Bless you all. I'll be back in this comment section, whether i failed or i succeed.
Why no demo of the Douson?
