  I dont believe in “best friends”. I just need a few good friends and associates to go out with. I learned the hard way alot of friends low key dont like one another. Theirs alot of competition in female friendships tbh and I dont have the energy for it.

  Yeah the traveling is getting out of hand. You can tell between the real travelers and the IG travelers. Im very careful of the type of influencers I watch because what you watch, hear etc influences your behavior.

  Girls in Nigeria left the whatspp group and blocked the admin. I remember when one particular influencer travelled to lebanon 🇱🇧 all of a sudden every girl in Lagos wants to go to lebanon with their snowbooth. Now they have switched to Qatar 🇶🇦. Most of them really come back home broke after these trips all because of instagram highlight😩🤦‍♀️. Then again am not saying don’t travel but live below your means and if you can afford it yes pls do it. But don’t use your life savings 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

  I’m genuinely worried for the children when it comes to their privacy bc of the amount of over sharing online rn mixed with the children being online and exposed to story time-get ready w/ me’s gives way to them talking about elementary and middle school drama that they should have privacy and grace bc they are CHILDREN and need to have their own spaces

  Tbh I had to delete my instagram for a while because I stated to feel bad about my life when I would see people travel to a new country almost every 3-4 months and I thought that was totally normal. I had to do my own healing and then rejoin after I realized that this type of behavior wasn’t normal.

  I grew up Caribbean and I’m always going back to the Caribbean and I love to travel it’s never for the aesthetic I don’t feel like I belong in one country but that’s just me. I don’t think life is meant to be lived in one place 🤷‍♀️

  The one I can’t seem to get over is when people say they are going into target to get just a bar soap and then come out with $300 worth of stuff and I’m like huh? Can quite literally never be me. I just feel like that’s something that has been normalized and it’s weird. Really trying my best to cut down on tik tok and instagram

  When I hear people my age (16) say I’m grown I can do what I want it makes me cringe. Like what makes you think you’re grown…. I wish that stage where you didn’t care what you looked like lasted longer for me because I started my period early and my body started to change. So people thought I looked older than what I was and it made me uncomfortable with myself

  I travel a lot for work and honestly sometimes all I get to experience is the food and walking around seeing the architecture. You can’t always learn about the city and culture if you’re not there long. Sometimes ppl travel to just rest as well in the hotel and not to explore. I don’t think it matters why people travel tbh just that if they wanted to go they can.

  I needed the traveling advice. Because I have been feeling left out but I want to get my financial situation in track and have a traveling fund set aside for traveling. Yet saying that to people they tell me money will come back. In this economy I rather be safe

  I encourage you to take care of your finances because there is nothing pleasant to come back home from a trip with a maxed out credit card. You are not missing out at all. You can actually plan your trip and give yourself a deadline to set the amount aside. I’m speaking from my personal experience.

  You’re too real. People thought I was crazy for deleting Instagram late last year but I stopped caring not only about other ppl’s lives but also sharing mine. A lot of life is mundane and not-that-exciting and that’s okay lol. We’re here to exist not entertain. I had a summer vacay to Europe and I didn’t feel pressured to do convention “picture-worthy” places. I visited places that had my friends & family in them, and had the MOST AMAZING time with my Instax film camera. Without making TikToks about it 🤭

  I share the same sentiment as I don’t have social media at all anymore ( IG, TikTok, facebook and snap) I learned to live a mundane life without feeling pressured to share anything and I have no pressure with filtering out my pictures. Everything I capture stays with me and now I am into creating album photos ❤
