the left really needs to stop writing this man off. he is one of the only guys with an actual path forward that makes sense and is achievable. we gotta look at the project of the left and realize its going nowhere and its in complete shambles. the left has no electoral and political legitimacy. you cant change the world if you dont bring the common man into the fold.

Magdalene WAS a prostitute, that is the message of redemption. What a misogynistic notion to imply she was there to seduce him. For one cannot accurately assess the mysteries of God lest they are a believer.

If Jesus became an atheist, then he would not have cried out to Father for he would not have believed in him. As we see that he offers his spirit directly after. In that moment, Jesus is showing a human the travails of humanness as an act of compassion. That although we may question God in our suffering, our soul is redeemed through the trials we face.

@@exocet8834 Yes, I mean cooperatives for merit goods. If it was a true free market economy for housing and education and health care and mobility, most people wouldn’t be able to afford it. By using communism in these cases it works out. There are housing cooperatives where you don’t have a landlord that profits from the rent. And public transit is always subsidized, it would cost financially more than it earns with just ticket sales. It however enables mobility to everyone, which has strong systemic effects. That’s what I mean.

Slavoy is stuck up his Hegelian butt, he does not see the obvious, like the so called "pandemic" was precisely the way capitalism works today - Pfizer earning 100 billion by corrupting governments worldwide to introduce this pseudo-emergency state, while the pseudo-vaccines and lockdowns did more harm then the actual virus itself. Same goes for his global warming bullshit. There is no "environmental catastrophy". It's ideology coined by the green capitalists to subsidize their solar panels and wind farms from tax money. You are not a leftist if you can not comprehand this. This is what it means to be "christian" today - you look into the abyss of no hope, where all of it, especially UN/IPCC/WHO is the embodiment of global capitalism. Socialism should become a dirty word. Those who still believe in some state solution, in voting this or that "representative" (that is someone who has no intellectual qualifications, but knows how to appeal to masses) are the same that legitimize the current system. Dictatorship, yes, but not on the WHO/UN conditions. Catastrophism, emergency state, is how capitalism always worked. There is nothing new to emerge through this, only more direct forms of fascism, more exploitation, less freedom. I gave up completely. No children, no political plans, no allies. If there is a solution to all that, it has to be a moral one, a "change of heart" in majority of people. So that we are on the same page when it comes to MORAL VALUES. Zizek precisely fails in this regard. He never openly speaks about his moral values. You can not build any community without clearly stated moral values, because without moral values, you can not build any law. That's why current corrupt system which follows the rewritten Roman feudal laws is a perverse immoral language of sustained exploitation. The task of the left is to rewrite law in the spirit of clearly defined logical hierarchy of moral values, of which (my humble proposition) the Freedom, Truth & Intelligent Life (distinct from the rest of nature) are the top values, balanced in the trialectic typical of Lacanian formulas symbolized by Borromean knot. This is a task for linguists, for philologues, philosophers of language. Because all this world runs on words, on quality of words written into law. Go into law school, into politics, write the law according to your conscience (would be nice if you develop one in the process). This is the only way. Even if emergency state happens, or war, or worse, we need to have the new constitution, the new logical, carefully thought out legislature ready for introduction. This is the only viable way for any change in this system. Because the core of all problems is idiotic, morally bankrupt and perverted language of law. Who today thinks renting flats and houses should be illegal? Or lending money for profit (usury)? Medieval times seen laws like that, which were based in moral values. Why can't we have them today?
