I had a 2001 300 4x4. It was a great four-wheeler. And it had high low range. It would do the work that the 400 would do. Just a tad slower.
I didn’t know that there was a Rhino 450, i only knew the 660 / 700 ...
was curious if these were any good thanks for doing the review.
Thanks!
Recon is better no hussle.
Very informative video but the happy music in in the tutorial should be something much more metal. The rage that filled me when I got to the brake drum was overwhelming. Beating on it with a 5 lb hammer and torching it while soaking it with penetration oil. The spline not giving up and my hands black while mosquitoes are eating me alive. Please let me know if there's a step I missed while trying to take the drum off. It's an 1988 Fourtrax😅
Excellent!
im doing a outdoor patio bbq and grill area. thinking of using this for the face of the bar and counter area. that really looks nice. .
Nice video. Can you please update on what you think of it now? Did you have any heat problems? Loss of HP?
What diffence with filter code 5gh-13440-80 and 5gh-13440-60 Does he settle in both anyway? for kodiak 450 2003
How do you change the break cylinders I can’t find a video for the life of me
2024..still being referenced. You the man!
I had a old belt on mine never heard any squealing i put a brand new belt on and now it squeals alot any tips or reason why its doing that?? Please some one respond
My book says Valve Clearance (when cold) Exhaust: 0.20 ∼ 0.25 mm (0.0079 ∼ 0.0098 in.) Inlet: 0.10 ∼ 0.15 mm (0.0039 ∼ 0.0059 in.) your valves are super tight 😳😳😳😳 well ima try it on mine and lean toward the tight side
Which way does the oio filter cover go back on ? Where the filter dowel rests on the cover there is a slot , does it go down or up?
What year everybody's saying filter is too small
Great video thank you. Can they handle two people on board?.
Nice
Really cool and informative video, looks like these are about 7K dollar in base trim. Hard to decide what to get there are so many choices out there today.
i have a 2017 rancher 420 and it's flashing a dash after a very short ride. will it be rideable after it sits for a bit?
Wish my top pin came out that easily 😂
I feel like this explained NOTHING.
Those things should be mandatory for the peace of everyone else.
Will this work for an 87 too?
Great job 👍
Great video!! Thank you. Short sweet and to the point
Glad it was helpful!
Canadian engineering. The Rugged Universal Power Steering system will work correctly for 1 year and then it’s designed to break down progressively. Just watch the front tire uneven wear. My defender will go off the road every 40yds. I took it to the extreme power sports dealership where I bought it to have the alignment realigned 3 times, failing each time. Strike three - then Travis the service manager stated, “there is nothing we can do because the computer sets the alignments”. That’s nonsense and we all know this because you don’t have to be a service manager to realize you just have to install a new steering gear unit trashing the old because Canadian engineering in China by Mexicans sux. Never again. Can Am makes toys for boys, not tools for utility. What a mistake. Buy a tractor if you need to do real work. Make sure it’s not engineered in Canada, assembled in China .
Would this be the cause of oil coming out of over flow from pressure build up?
Possibly or a broke/wore piston ring letting pressure into the crankcase.
Thanks for this video. I just broke the gear shift lever this afternoon, because the gator is extremely difficult to shift. The lever I can get locally. I'm wondering what lube I want to use on the clutch, and also on the "linkage" between the lever and the clutch housing. Any suggestions? Thanks again for posting, and thumbs way up.
2000? Mine was closer to 200 bucks. Not nearly as nice and needs some work but I would never and spend that much on one of these. For that price there are much better wheelers out there.
Thanks for the comment.
@@everythingatv-utv-reviews3565 Of course this was 8 years ago so they were probably a little nicer at the time.
having the HARDEST time getting the oil plug back in the spring and screen are a pain.
Yes, it's a bit tedious at times.
Awesome video man ! Straight to the point no bs, saved me from digging for the manual.
Glad it was helpful!
Put a cheap electric fan behind the grill so it pulls more air at the motor at mower speed. Idk that's what I might try.
I just tried this. I followed the video instructions exactly, and the dang puller tool actually broke off inside the clutch. Now what? I tried a screw extractor, but no luck. Can the primary clutch be removed without the puller tool?
Sorry it's taken so long to respond, I've never seen that happen. We're you able to extract it? Not aware of any other method.
@everythingatv-utv-reviews3565 The video is over 8 years old, so I'm surprised that you responded at all lol. A friend tried extracting it, but no luck. The tool is 8" long, with 5" broken inside the clutch, and it's 3" deep. My ATV is currently at the shop. My mechanic said this happened because the tool was made of a weaker metal. He might have to cut off the clutch just to get it out. He might be able to save it, but he's pretty sure that I'll need to purchase a new primary clutch, which usually go for around $250 🙁
Which line do I fill it to?
Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the R2.5" Lift Kit for your 2014 Can-Am Commander 800R
Currently we are testing the John Deere 835M. If you have any products that would work with it, we'd be happy to test and make install videos.
I love Yamaha, only brand I buy.....but that 450 they put in quads and Rhino's is underpowered junk. Repaired a Grizz 450 n thought it would have some power since the 660 is an animal and told the customer to get rid of it. Gutless, slow, an Embarrassment to Yamaha.
I know this is a good cleaner, but in my recent carb budget rebuilding I discovered vinegar is the best and cheapest thing to use. I set a carb that looked worse than this one (hard to judge because we didn’t do a side by side, but it’s the worst carb I’ve seen in my short life). After an hour soak in vinegar and a good scrub and rinse, thing looks brand new. Super easy to find, and definitely cheaper. As a younger guy, I love seeing all the old school tricks that seem to be forgotten in this world of ever evolving technology.
Hi did you use white vinegar ? Which brand please I would like to do the same
@@hectorheredia311 any brand distilled white vinegar. I’d imagine the stronger the vinegar the faster it would work but I just used cheap, normal household vinegar.
I was at TDC and I couldn't feel any play in the value arms. Do I need to open them it to 0.006 in. ???
No spin it around around until both valves r loose and stop on the T indicator mark again. Now adjust to .006.
Fyi ...if its super cold there is a primer button on the carb ...saved me n -11
Love the whine you hear when you decelerate it sounds so cool. Especially when you downshift
I’ve actually managed to get my grandma’s ‘07 Rancher ES up to 55mph one time on what I’m pretty sure is a fairly flat surface, but i was doing it for fun, I’ll have to do it properly by going both ways & such.
I have a 2005 Arctic Cat 650 V2 (Kawasaki engine). My KEBC Aculator is making weird noises, and my drive belts keep shredding. My mechanic says that the Aculator motor is going out and that I need to replace it. Is it possible that a simple cleaning would solve the issue, or should I order a new one? How can you tell if it's actually going out or not?
Suzuki Ozark is a new Suzuki QuadRunner
my hand and foot brake are all of a sudden loose and won't work. The cables still move, but don't engage brake???
Sorry about the late response, did you try to make any cable adjustments or what was the issue?
The values on top of the carbs. Do both of them suppose to open when giving it gas. I only have one opening up.
I have that 4 wheeler color and everything exactly the same just I’m fixing mine up
👍
Thank you that was very informative.
No nonsense, straight to the point!
