Pontiac was my favorite badge in the GM line. Pontiac always broke the mold always having great muscle cars. My first real muscle car at 18 years old was a 76 Pontiac Trans am with a 455 SD V8 4 speed m21 rock crusher. I loved that car. Can't wait for the rebirth of Pontiac.

As a lifelong Firebird fan, have had many and have some owned for 20+ years, if it was a new Firebird series, A plug in Hybrid mated to a killer sounding V8 in my opinion would be the best of both worlds. EV capability with the V8 sound and charisma everyone loves. Ideally a throwback to the second gen styling interior and exterior as they had great looking dashes and interiors too.

Back in the day, 1978, I bought my first new car.... A Gold Trans Am. I tried to get it without the Screaming Chicken, but seem to recall it was a $60.00 DELETE option. You had to pay to NOT have the bird decal on the hood. Loved the car though.

If GM really wants to bring Pontiac back, they should definitely position it above the Chevrolet. None of this inter-divisional competition. A Pontiac should be competing against Dodge, not Chevy, but at the same time, it should be below the Buick, as again, it should be competing against the Dodge, not the Buick.

I worked as a painter for Pontiac at a dealership and installed dozens and dozens of those decals, you would think that they would be difficult. They were one of the most easy decals that I ever put on,when you got over the sheer size, about 10 or 15 minutes from start to finish when I first started, and after I got used to them It’d take about five minutes😁😁😁

I remember my stepdad after seeing Smokey and the Bandit he had to have a Trans Am. So he went out and bought a 76 with the 455 and a manual trans, 4 spd I think. This was about 1977. I really liked that car but the summer I was 16 (1979) and I went out to see him and my mom, I asked if I can drive the TA but they had sold it for a Datsun 310. The gas crises of 79 convinced them that 8 mpg was not enough. So I never got to drive that car. :(

I'm in Ontario Canada an hour from Oshawa where the Canadian Pontiacs were made. Pontiac was a big brand here right up until it got cut. It was an affordable car locally made that appealed to lots of people.

I've got two of them, they're pretty darn good cars. My favorite aspect is watching people lose their $#it about them. Hey dude, why would I want your crossover? You can barely tell a RAV4 from an escape from a Subaru (any model). In another 20 yrs nobody will be putting a CRV in a car show. But they'll walk up on an aztek and go, "Oh, hey! Check this out!"
