  Old video so idk if this is worth sharing but a few tricks with aiming I have learned are 1. Even if you dont know someone is there visually like at night, you can use still find and hit someone by aiming around until you notice it snaps onto something or someone like you do when you aim past someone, note you can be hitting nothing and just wasting ammo so its situational 2. I find alot of people don't know you can blow up pod weapons by aiming past them until your bottom dot is on top of the gun, needs to be some sort of explosive weapon guns wont do it. 3. You can quickly aim in and shoot with near perfect accuracy or shadow dancing if you fire nearly right away after you aim in, takes some time to get the hang of. 4. You can throw nades with more distance if run forward while you release the throw , it adds inertia to it and allows you to gtfo of the danger zone seeing your already moving.

  10/10 - This video was fantastic! A comprehensive, illustrative and to the point breakdown for aiming in Foxhole! You actually taught me about aiming before a target, now I'm excited to put this into practice, as aiming past the target sometimes ISNT the play, but now I know ^.^

  I'd disagree, But i get where you're coming from. The issue with having a robust and complex aiming system is that theres alot of allowance for issues to arise. But the pro is that you get way more player agency and way more interesting things can happen.

  @@DaglessMc I don't know if I'd call this a "robust and complex" aiming system. Clonky and non-inspiring. If you think about it they've just managed to get FPS mechanics to work in 3rd person. And that's what bothering me as someone with tens of thousands of hours in games such as counter strike.

  @@ASDASD34RDFS ehh, how many top down games have you played where they have differences in elevation. I think alot of the things that make foxhole unique wouldn't be in the game if it wasn't for the "clunky" aiming system. Sure it's not counter strike, but it's also not an FPS. As someone who also has thousands of hours in FPS's and 1500 hrs in Foxhole I can appreciate the differences. Check out some of my operation videos If you want to see someone use this aiming system really well, its something that takes time to get used to . If not, well i hope you come around to foxholes systems and have a good time :).

  Course it's clunky. The entire game is a clunky fest. Issues and bugs that have been in the game since day 1 exist and the Devs refuse to fix them

  a good advice is placing sandbags facing your side, that way the moment they take control of them, they wont be able to aim from them against your team

  This works, But only if the trench is connected to your base, Otherwise they can bring a sandbag up and remove it. I'll give you, it's pretty uncommon for people to do that, but they can

  They help if the enemy is defending with barb wire they help infantry get up to the front under heavy fire they are very useful depending on conditions

  They help infantry get up to the front under heavy fire exactly. be that your own infantry or the enemy infantry after they've taken the trenches out from under you, that's another story. Personally i feel if you feel like trenches are necessary for a push, you need to make sure that there are breaks in the trench line so the enemy can't just rush all the way back down if they take it from you.

  ​@@DaglessMc here's an example we had our enemy's base up the Rod but they put a crap ton of barbed wire and mines so our tanks would have to go single file to push up then enemy players in defensive positions would use AT weapons to kill them to we made out own large trench system in an open field so our machine guns could suppress enemy's when they try and hit our tanks and guess what we took the bunker base trenches are useful in sieges bc the enemy's won't take them because they would be moving from a better defensive position to a crapppyer one

  If there's no seaport nearby, FOBs can be placed hanging off a shoreline to be used as gunboat loading bases. Gunboats can directly access the inventory of the FOB and pull shells 3 by 3.

  Thankfully for me this isn't Company of hero's ;) i actually took a couple more on that run cuz i went into Cinematic mode and missed a turn, got tracked and still got away.
