Im sure yours is done...but maybe others will read. Im not 100% but someone said remove the 2 lines from heat exchange and connect them together. Definitely dont take my advice but maybe a temporary fix worth investigating

I love this tent, putting it up and packing the stuff in is the best idea I've come up with because the tunnel cover keeps it in the truck bed and when you get to your location it only takes a few poles and minutes to put up completely.

Leadfoot Grey! With the sports package. I eliminated the Sport sticker and added my own flags. I wish the blackout package was available at the time I ordered to complete the look I was going for. Still thinking about changing the Ford logos to the black/grey colourway.

Just putting the obvious answer to both your problems. Just plug the phone in and that keeps it charged and you don’t have to worry about dropping signal either. Wireless is great but it seems to create more problems than it solves.

I'm not sure if there is a test for this issue but based on how many Powerboost owners are having this issue there should be. Unfortunately, it's the towing that caused my issue for sure as before that it was amazing!

OMG, you can't create the delete quick enough it seems as so many Powerboost are having this issue and what I've been told it's just a Powerboost issue as Ford hasn't created a hybrid version yet.

@@cwqrpportable To my understanding this is going to be a Powerboost problem. So in theory this will affect every year. I've heard that Ford hasn't figured out the fix yet and has changed the part # 3 times already. This is the main reason it is on EXTREME back order at the moment. I did see a Ford Bronco Raptor seem to have the same issue though, so who know if it will affect even more than the Powerboost. Fingers crossed it is limited to a certain build plant. I only 2 other 2021 Powerboost truck owners who have reached out to me to say that they're going through the same issue I am currently.

OMG you have the worst luck. That just sucks. Life is full of challenges and heartaches; in the grand scheme of things, this is minor. Take it to the dealership for warranty repair. My experience is they should treat you fairly, give you a loaner and then you'll have to wait on parts. No brand of mechanical device is without it's problems. I'd be pissed too, but hey, c'est la vie.

had a set on my 2015 Sierra. Best upgrade I had on the rig, perfect for towing. Havent added a set to my 22 F150, as I have the HDPP, and so far been great towing the TT without. But wouldnt hesitate to suggest these to anyone who tows or carries a load.

Thanks for reaching out. I've only had the dash black out on me while on a call. I've never experienced what your stating. The fix for me was simple. Turned off the truck and then opened the drivers door, closed the drivers door and then start the vehicle up again. (Which I believe just resets the system) it hasn't happened to me since. Sorry to hear what happened to you as that would be pretty upsetting. I did see someone have an issue with a blackout screen and a chime constantly going off and it turned out to be the battery. I would have the dealership check this out for you.

If you have an OBDII scanner and have downloaded the ForScan software on your computer you can tweak the settings to eliminate the double honk. "Double Horn Honk disable" under the BCM by tweaking the "6" to a "0" in the code and thia will eliminate this feature.

I added 7 year, 140,000 km full coverage warranty. My only gripe about it is you have to use Ford or triccare garage for servicing or they invalidate the warranty. That wasn’t made very clear when I bought the warranty. If you purchased your vehicle from a XXXXXX dealership, to maintain your Lifetime Engine Guarantee or your Tricare Extended Warranty, your vehicle's maintenance must be performed at a XXXXXX Automotive service department or at any other Tricare dealership.

This little mod put the actual temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit for the transmission and radiator instead of just having the gauge show you with the needle at a certain point. Small thing but I like seeing the temperature in #'s.

Did you see my video on forscan? There is a couple of steps in there that can make it work. One is fairly easy and the other one you need to change a few numbers in the code but both work and then it's how you use your key FOB. Maybe let me know what you have done and I can see what I can do to help more

Quick things to look at are always software versions. Do you know what version your Sync 4 is and also what version is your Apple CarPlay? So what I'm trying to make sure is that you have the latest and greatest of both. Sometimes it's the phone that is causing this issue.

Man, hard to believe you are still dealing with this. I remember seeing the original video, but can't remember all of the details. Why isn't Ford fixing this since it is such an obvious issue? I would recommend a felt tape 1.5mm or less that comes in thin strips. Anything you have to cut is going to cause adhesive residue to be where you don't want it. I wouldn't restrict yourself to felt either. You just need something to stop the rattle. I'd try some metallic type tape that will still give a smooth surface to slide on. Also, I believe the track is plastic and held on with pieces of double sided tape... maybe you could put something on the backside of the track to force it in to close the gap on the window.

It's not really available in Canada and if you get it, it's very limited. The lane keep and adaptive cruise seems to be pretty good and you don't have that premium add on cost plus the monthly/annual payment to keep it available.

@@canadiantruckguy363 I tried 2.3 lb soft ankle/wrist weight at the 3 o’clock position on steering wheel and it stimulates the truck and is basically hands free driving. Hands can stay off the wheel. I don’t do up the buckle on the weight I just lay it over the wheel. Keep my eyes on the road and ready to react. Works great.

@Carlos Cid I used the ForScan program and turned on that feature. It works for the reverse camera's at any speed and also for the Heavy Snow/Mud and Hill/Rock Crawl modes for forward camera's.

I was pretty surprised to hear that you don’t have a trustworthy wireless connection for android auto. I don’t think I’ve ever had a problem with Apple CarPlay, not trying to make you feel bad here, I’m just really surprised. has just gotten better with updates? I know there’s a big android auto update coming soon that allows for true full screen navigation which I’m sure I’ll be jealous of for the rest of time as it will almost certainly not come to CarPlay.

@zakeller I've found out that because of where I live and the mobile data coverage is pour the Android Auto feature seems to quit here and there. I figured this out as there is a dead zone not too far from my house and every time I drive through it, I lose connection. Crazy that this affects the connection between your phone and the truck.

I am guessing at this point that I don't give Ford enough access and I don't care too, so I will probably not see everything that you do. Yes the 1st screen shot is from the app. That would be my guess as well. So you'll basically have to ask your dealer to update each time you're there.
Sorry to hear that I’m reading about powerboost issues and they are usually like your.Some people go for lemon law but I would probably fix it

Just putting the obvious answer to both your problems. Just plug the phone in and that keeps it charged and you don’t have to worry about dropping signal either. Wireless is great but it seems to create more problems than it solves.
It for sure is a problem in rural areas. Plugging your phone in will always be better than wireless connections.

Well, it just turned out that way as the rental place just puts you in a truck they have at the moment. But yes it is funny that it's not a Ford.
I see the point, but I dont think I could remove it. I drive around so many kids and sport complex that I am more worried about liability of removing a OEM addition that has a purpose of safety.

@@canadiantruckguy363 Thank you . The problem has been resolved . I turned on the radio and immediately pressed the steering wheel and the console and it works now. But my car does not have Wi-Fi. So what is work then? I want to update the screen to SYNC 4A

I'm not sure if there is a test for this issue but based on how many Powerboost owners are having this issue there should be. Unfortunately, it's the towing that caused my issue for sure as before that it was amazing!
I work at dodge in pg the classic is a decwmt rig but everything else is trash half our lot os broke down junk for or die 🤘🤘🤘

OMG, you can't create the delete quick enough it seems as so many Powerboost are having this issue and what I've been told it's just a Powerboost issue as Ford hasn't created a hybrid version yet.

@@cwqrpportable To my understanding this is going to be a Powerboost problem. So in theory this will affect every year. I've heard that Ford hasn't figured out the fix yet and has changed the part # 3 times already. This is the main reason it is on EXTREME back order at the moment. I did see a Ford Bronco Raptor seem to have the same issue though, so who know if it will affect even more than the Powerboost. Fingers crossed it is limited to a certain build plant. I only 2 other 2021 Powerboost truck owners who have reached out to me to say that they're going through the same issue I am currently.

OMG you have the worst luck. That just sucks. Life is full of challenges and heartaches; in the grand scheme of things, this is minor. Take it to the dealership for warranty repair. My experience is they should treat you fairly, give you a loaner and then you'll have to wait on parts. No brand of mechanical device is without it's problems. I'd be pissed too, but hey, c'est la vie.
Thanks for the message and thoughts. Yes the truck is officially going to be left at the dealership and they're giving me a loaner until it's fixed. Let's hope it's not too long as I have lots of camping plans setup and need the truck for them.

@@canadiantruckguy363 they didn’t say I couldn’t pull anything but the truck had NO power to even move let alone a trailer. It was ok for just running around town and very short trips. I didn’t get a loaner as i have another vehicle to drive. I am happy to get mine fixed. Good luck.

had a set on my 2015 Sierra. Best upgrade I had on the rig, perfect for towing. Havent added a set to my 22 F150, as I have the HDPP, and so far been great towing the TT without. But wouldnt hesitate to suggest these to anyone who tows or carries a load.
These do help give you more confidence when towing.
My overhead lights and console light went out after a software update. Do you happen to know a fix?
Thanks for reaching out. I've only had the dash black out on me while on a call. I've never experienced what your stating. The fix for me was simple. Turned off the truck and then opened the drivers door, closed the drivers door and then start the vehicle up again. (Which I believe just resets the system) it hasn't happened to me since. Sorry to hear what happened to you as that would be pretty upsetting. I did see someone have an issue with a blackout screen and a chime constantly going off and it turned out to be the battery. I would have the dealership check this out for you.

If you have an OBDII scanner and have downloaded the ForScan software on your computer you can tweak the settings to eliminate the double honk. "Double Horn Honk disable" under the BCM by tweaking the "6" to a "0" in the code and thia will eliminate this feature.
On my 21 f150 sometimes I can use my phone sometimes I can't. My brother says reboot it why do I have to do this all the time.....

I can say that I did have this issue a lot in the past but not as much now based on the latest updates. I can say that it also depends on how I accept the phone call.

"Cameras at Speed" is what it's called under ForScan. I have not found a way to get rid of the black bar yet. If you find a way please let me know as well.

I added 7 year, 140,000 km full coverage warranty. My only gripe about it is you have to use Ford or triccare garage for servicing or they invalidate the warranty. That wasn’t made very clear when I bought the warranty. If you purchased your vehicle from a XXXXXX dealership, to maintain your Lifetime Engine Guarantee or your Tricare Extended Warranty, your vehicle's maintenance must be performed at a XXXXXX Automotive service department or at any other Tricare dealership.
I agree with you that if you maintain your vehicle properly it shouldn't matter where you're getting the maintenance done.

This little mod put the actual temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit for the transmission and radiator instead of just having the gauge show you with the needle at a certain point. Small thing but I like seeing the temperature in #'s.

Did you see my video on forscan? There is a couple of steps in there that can make it work. One is fairly easy and the other one you need to change a few numbers in the code but both work and then it's how you use your key FOB. Maybe let me know what you have done and I can see what I can do to help more
My Apple car play is going blank on info screen It shows which song is playing from my phone but only on the right side of the screen I did reset you were showing here and still main screen when on Apple Pay is dark If you can help i would appreciate
Quick things to look at are always software versions. Do you know what version your Sync 4 is and also what version is your Apple CarPlay? So what I'm trying to make sure is that you have the latest and greatest of both. Sometimes it's the phone that is causing this issue.

It typically closes down because of bad cellular phone area, I know that seems funny but the software depends on it a lot. 32k nice, I'm @ 28k and if I can ever get this back window to stop rattling I would be loving my truck more.
Why do you need felt on the whole length of window ? A small piece at say: 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and fully open/closed. Your just looking to “shim out the vibration”
I typically don't fully open the window too often I just like to Crack the window to get airflow so I thought I should do the whole track. Well I can say that I'm not having much luck with this back window

Man, hard to believe you are still dealing with this. I remember seeing the original video, but can't remember all of the details. Why isn't Ford fixing this since it is such an obvious issue? I would recommend a felt tape 1.5mm or less that comes in thin strips. Anything you have to cut is going to cause adhesive residue to be where you don't want it. I wouldn't restrict yourself to felt either. You just need something to stop the rattle. I'd try some metallic type tape that will still give a smooth surface to slide on. Also, I believe the track is plastic and held on with pieces of double sided tape... maybe you could put something on the backside of the track to force it in to close the gap on the window.

Why you don’t have Blue Cruise?
It's not really available in Canada and if you get it, it's very limited. The lane keep and adaptive cruise seems to be pretty good and you don't have that premium add on cost plus the monthly/annual payment to keep it available.
@@canadiantruckguy363 I tried 2.3 lb soft ankle/wrist weight at the 3 o’clock position on steering wheel and it stimulates the truck and is basically hands free driving. Hands can stay off the wheel. I don’t do up the buckle on the weight I just lay it over the wheel. Keep my eyes on the road and ready to react. Works great.

@Carlos Cid I used the ForScan program and turned on that feature. It works for the reverse camera's at any speed and also for the Heavy Snow/Mud and Hill/Rock Crawl modes for forward camera's.
I was pretty surprised to hear that you don’t have a trustworthy wireless connection for android auto. I don’t think I’ve ever had a problem with Apple CarPlay, not trying to make you feel bad here, I’m just really surprised. has just gotten better with updates? I know there’s a big android auto update coming soon that allows for true full screen navigation which I’m sure I’ll be jealous of for the rest of time as it will almost certainly not come to CarPlay.
@zakeller I've found out that because of where I live and the mobile data coverage is pour the Android Auto feature seems to quit here and there. I figured this out as there is a dead zone not too far from my house and every time I drive through it, I lose connection. Crazy that this affects the connection between your phone and the truck.
