    It's stomach churning from Chapter One. I'm not enjoying it, but reading it to see what our government is planning to do to us.

    I'm reading this now. I think it's predictive programming. No doubt some Satanic scientists are cooking up viruses right now to kill all animals, or make humans allergic to animal meat. I wouldn't be surprised if things like this happen for real in secret locations, like Epstein Island. There are Cannibal restaurants in LA and Berlin.

I wanted to recommend some books 😊 if u like the creepy horror vibe but not a super scary traumatizing book "what moves the dead" 10/10. And if u liked reading Tampa ( I think that's another video ) I recommend "my dark Vanessa" . Sending u love 💕

    I’ve been soo tempted to grab Fourth Wing everytime I go to a Waterstones! But then I remember I legit have no space left on my current bookshelves and they look very cramped…! Yellow face is my Spells for Forgetting, totally want it firstly for the cover, I just love the cover! I know you said you weren’t convinced by it at first but I just love how minimalist it is and yellow is my 2nd fave colour (straight after pink 👀🤭)! I’ve been eyeing The Bromance Book Club for a few months (since bookgang talked about it) but I tend to find romances a bit meh if I’m not in the right mood for them so never really went around to get it…! I also have Throwback and I’m hoping to read it after my current read (The Isles of Gods) and I’m quite excited about it and we can talk about it after too! Always LOVE watching your videos - even if I usually show up late to the party haha! Can’t wait to see your next video! Maria xx

    TL will select some recently written titles in due course for review. These could be bestsellers or otherwise. I will also take the same approach to music. I will look at specism, racism and sexism. As well as noting references to TL.

    (0:15) Yes, I am from "far away"! Thanks for producing this video! (1:55) I'm curious as to what book that is. (2:22) At this point, I realise the video was recorded in 2019, not 2021! Otherwise, I would've recognised a lot of books that are on my TBR list and/or were talked about by a number of people I follow on Twitter. (2:48) I take that back, I recognise "The Lost Tide Warriors" by Catherine Doyle and "The Land of Roar" by Jenny McLachlan and Ben Mantle. Both are on my Goodreads/StoryGraph "Want to Read (Low Priority)" lists, but I've at least recognised something! (6:06) More TBR/research sightings! "Oi (animal)!" series by Kes Gray and Jim Field! (I found out about the series through following the latter on Twitter. Yes, I follow a lot of book illustrators because I like their art styles)

    I’m so happy I fell in love with audiobooks! I play solitaire while listening to audiobooks haha I actually listening the first chapter of the Hobbit once , with a different narrator though, on yt kzread.info/dash/bejne/dnmAtZVxqrmqp6g.html Ohhhh One day I might try reading Hamilton’s biography. I’m curious about those Jane Austen’s audiobooks since you mentioned them to me. Ari & Dante <3 wooow I didn’t know Lin-Manuel Miranda narrated this audio :O The audiobooks for the Illuminae Files are TOP TIER. A Series of Unfortunate Events also has gREAT audiobooks. To be honest I have listened so many amazing audiobooks lately that it gets hard to choose the best ones. Loved this video. The images, the music, the little audio snippets <3

    My favorite audiobooks are Born a Crime (written and narrated by Trevor Noah), Nimona (I listened to it while I read the graphic novel), An Absolutely Remarkable Thing and Anne of Green Gables (the Dreamscape version). I really enjoyed Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, but read the physical copy. If I ever reread, I'll probably listen to the audiobook as well. This video also left me really interested in listening to The Hobbit.

    You should check out my gothic romance novel '40,000 Words'. It follows Adelaide Parabellum as the arrival of poems from beyond the grave causes her to recollect how she had met a stranger at a pond eight years prior. '40,000 Words' can be found by searching '40,000 Words Nicholas Leonard' on Amaz0n. The paperback version has 4 stars

    Thanks for including Waterstones (though my personal favourite is Gower Street branch). I've watched other videos on London bookshops and evidently they consider Waterstones too "mainstream" to be worthy of a place in their videos.😅

  • @kbhasi
    @kbhasi3 жыл бұрын

    I think that's because Waterstones is probably the largest bookshop chain in the UK, and those people, including me to an extent, likely find indie bookshops to feel more magical.

  • @keithnichols7926
    @keithnichols79263 жыл бұрын

    London bookshops are far too numerous to cover in one brief video, or in ten. It might be better to select those having distinguishing features and explain and illustrate those. Waterstone's for instance is a chain stocking the latest hits considered likely to sell well. That is, it's not worth your time. Foyle's on Charing Cross Road, is the largest store in London, with specialty sections of all sorts, including play scripts and musical scores, plus textbooks for various academic specialties. And for travel fans, there's Stanford's, near Covent Garden on Mercer Street. In business since 1853, it's the world's leading map shop and also has the largest selection of travel books in town. Begin your video projects by researching the subjecta via Internet and save some shoe leather.
