Most people were good looking back then. What happened?
Here I am 2024 watching this wondering if you were there. Crazy 50 years later. Thank you.
Thanks for Sharing!!! 💖💖💖

Y'all so fun
Wow lots of great entertainment there at the 1940s State Fair
So damn cool. Grew up going there since I was a baby. My grandfather went out there in the 70s in a jeep before it was developed, talked about how it was a jungle. You can see it in the video. I'm pretty sure the rest of the building is Wilmington. My parents ended up getting a spot there in the early 2000s and I've been blessed to spend whole summers there without leaving the island for almost 19 years. Some of the best people on the world are on that island and thanks to the preservation efforts the jungle is still alive.
Enjoyed watching this! Fair was a lot better back then
My home town!!!! So amazing to see this!!!
People in the us need to be archivists to be able to read cursive?
Nah it's rhetorical fun, they used to get taught a lesson or two on cursive in their elementary school Edit: Ask an archivist and they'll point you to the documents ;D hehe
Perfect!!❤

I'm an arsonist, of course I wanna become an archivist. (Humor intended)

Incredibly brave woman!
Short but a great video on the NC bill of rights
Kenny John’s break at 8.40 is an absolute masterpiece! This is the one John Petter’s and I were discussing. It really is a special piece of drum magic.
Great presentation and insights thank you
hello I hope you are well. I researched your channel and found that your channel has some problems. You need to customize your channel to increase views, subscribers and even monetization. If your channel is a little optimized and if the videos are SEO then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow. Your channel SEO is very low(0/100). Do you want to customize? As soon as you upload the video, if SEO is not done, your video will never go viral and will never reach new viewers. I am waiting for your response. Have a nice day. Thanks & regards Aysha
Great video thank you
A great video presentation thank you very much
A great video thank you
Wow, great info. The presenter was going at a great pace and easy to follow. Thanks for this.
Hahaha! She knows how to use her voice for mysteries, horror, Halloween.
What is very ironic is, not more than 50 feet from where she stood in this interview (at my grandmama's house) is where she fell down the steep concrete steps, and later died from the injuries. There was no landing at the top, and the screen door opened out. She would come home from California and stay at the homes of every grandchild she had for two weeks each. There were 6 in all. I would take her to school with me and show her off to my teachers a friends.
So is Verla your grandmother?
@@weslivingston230 It sounds to me like great-great grandmother. Tiny Brodwick, then Tiny Jacobs, married at 12 years old and had her daughter, Verla, at 13 years.
Sounds like you are very proud and you should be. Quite a brave woman. That is a shame about her fall. I'm concrete contractor and having a landing when you walk out a door is a strict building code.
THANKS FOR THE STORY, She is totally amazing. Pennsylvania
It's good to hear she had family that loved her. What a delightful Woman.
We still have the radio station! I love these videos! I been to Liberty Theater, we have had a new fancy theater with colorful lights, solar powered, but I haven't been to it, I'd rather go to Liberty! Only the parking isn't so great. It's awesome if you have someone pick you up! And the hotel isn't the center of anything now, it's apartments
No bus ot taxi as far as I know, there is vans, the wta Wilkes transportation authority, but is nothing likes taxi, more like a bus service You schedule a day or more before,
Alot of things are still there building wise, you will not see that many ppl on the street over a year, unless it's the apple fest, or a car show! It's amazing so many things are still here!
Wow! I didn’t realize what a metropolis Burlington was.
This is an amazing look into the past
Less than six months beforeStinkin Lincoln passed the Emancipation Proclaimation, he created the IRS on June 1st 1862. If you want to see how free you are, just skip paying your federal income taxes for one year!
The young kids eyes look tired.anybody know why?
It 🤡🎈
Interesting that the talking points of 1951 are the same as 2023... They say if you want to know the future then look to the past.
